According to the US Census Bureau, Fayetteville, NC has a (year 2000) population of
302,963 (page 5, rank 131 on this list I linked).
So, out of approximately 300,000 people in Fayetteville, NC, maybe 1,000 saw the movie (or bought tickets to pump up the headline for Moore and the NYT) over the weekend?
To: Doctor Raoul
Was it even a sellout in the small artsy theatre?
Considering the sources, Moore and NYT, I'd be reluctant to believe it.

I've been trying to find out how many seats they have too...I'm assuming it was probably shown in the downstairs theater. Here's the website for the theater. Has contact email addys on it.

Yup, not worth a fight, but a fun fact. Drudge just mentioned it on his radio show.

What, 8 bucks per head for a movie? Remember he was Clark's' "running mate" I think he officially through support for Kerry. Probably pitched in his obligatory grand to the campaign.

Moores entire "art" is pretty much crystallized in those statements. Selective truths, out and out lies, information taken out of context. This is Moore distilled to his essence.

The NYT is becoming the laughingstock of the world. Any time I hear of this "sold out" stuff, I'm going to laugh hysterically and tell them how the NYT got suckered. The place holds 125 people! Only 1 show was "sold out" the other showing still had 25 seats open, and that was with advance ticket sales. ROTFLMCO

76% of those on the HarrisInteractive.com poll say that Fahrenheit 911 has actually helped Bush's campaign with middle America.
I predict that within 2wekks, attendance across the nation will be so low, it will only be showing on college campuses.

I know that theater, it is not widley used by Bragg families to the best of my knowledge.
The theaters in the Cross Creek Mall are the ones we used, those and the Alvin C. York Theater.
Fayetteville is not without its share of flaming liberals - very very few are connected in any way to Bragg or the military however.

May I ask where the info is that proves your point and disproves Moore's? Where should I look?

The left will say, what difference does it make if it is 125 seats or 10,000 seats, its still a sellout!
Then say: what difference does it make if it is 12 sarin shells or 10,000 sarin shells, it's still a WMD.

Maybe Dave Geffen bought the rest of the tickets.

"We sold out in Fayetteville, home of Fort Bragg," in North Carolina, Mr. Moore said on Sunday. "We sold out in Army-base towns. We set house records in some of these places. We set single-day records in a number of theaters. We got standing ovations in Greensboro, N.C.There it is. Did you go to the link he provided and read the article?

I hope everyone sees this POS film because it will just highlight Moore's aganda and
make Americans mad at the left for siding with such a lying scuzbag like Moore.
