"We sold out in Fayetteville, home of Fort Bragg," in North Carolina, Mr. Moore said on Sunday.

Click here to confirm Moore's quote about selling out Fayetteville in THE NEW YORK TIMES.

This webpage shows Cameo Art House as a 125 seat theater (click here)

Cameo Art House Theater (Fayetteville), only one of six screens in NC showing F-911. Phone is 910-486-6633.

Too late. The Lie made it to The Sheep's ears first. That's what will be believed.

Besides, Moore is a HOLLYWOOD CELEBRITY, don't you realize that?!?

If we had a Goebbels Award For The Best Big Lie, I would nominate Fat Ass Moore as the most deserving recipient for 2004.

If the only place in Fayetteville showing it has only 125 seats....and if those 125 seats are all sold, it is....in all truth, SOLD OUT.

This is NOT the hill to die on.

The left will say, what difference does it make if it is 125 seats or 10,000 seats, its still a sellout!

It's not a lie by Moore, but the fact that the theatre holds only 125 people provides a tremendous amount of context. And any decent reporter would have checked that out for themselves. Not that someone working for the Slimes is likely to be a decent reporter.

One screen out of six showed his movie...1/6th of total capacity (125 persons). That is NOT sold out.

Have I asked anyone to scream, "Banzi" yet?

It is however a good thing to let people know that Moore is a liar. And with this, he is a liar.

You don't have to tell an outright lie, you can shade the truth with your words and deliberately let someone go away with the wrong idea.

That's what he did here. Claiming "sellout" in the home of Fort Bragg is meant to leave the reader with the impression that large numbers of soldiers saw the film, implying their support. Well he rigged the game and there was no such support.

It's a lie of omission. He's bragging the movie sold out in Fayetteville, home of Fort Bragg, using that as a propaganda coup. From Moore's quote you'd think thousands of Fayetteville residents and military families dropped everything this weekend to stand in line for the movie. T'ain't so. That's Moore's lie.

That's not quite what I meant. There were only six screens in the whole state that ran F-911.

He sold out the 125 seat theater in Fayetteville.

I wonder if that 125 seat figure includes the 38 seats in the upstair theater? Then it's only a 87 seat sellout.

Libs have to try to make Moore's movie look like a rampant sellout. Why? It is their way to counter that other 'independent' movie a few months ago--The Passion of the Christ.

This guy is in the process of sucking money out of the left wing base and sending it to Hollywood, rather than have the base donate it to the Kerry campaign or MoveOn. The left does not seem to have figured that out yet.
