I just want to know if Kerry can shed any light on this prisoner abuse situation. He should be asked if it is on par with the atrocities that he admitted to being involved in while in VN. Apparently he has some special expertise.

I think they're working on growing the armed forces, they just aren't talking/spinning/leaking it every day in the media. It isn't really that this administration is so very secretive, they just have extraordinarily good leak discipline.

That's my understanding of the ranks. I understand at one time O-7 in the Navy was Commodore, but that has been obsolete for some time, having been replaced with RADM (lower half). I heard that was so Navy O-7's could lord it over Army, Marine Corps and Air Force BG's with their two stars, but that may just have been an Army rumor.

Kerry did use the three purple hearts rule to resign from Vietnam after only four months. Since then he has had to languish away as a mere politician and gigolo.

Some time during the day today I heard a radio clip of Kerry calling for Rumsfeld to resign. He also said he had called for Rumsfeld to resign months ago.

I did not hear the run up to the clip but somehow it is very UNLIKELY that it was a repeat of comments made long ago.
