It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.

Actually I LIKE dandelions.And yes I do think yellow is cheery. I remember when we had our apple orchard in Wisconsin and there was nothing prettier than those dandelions peeking through the orchard grass as the white or blush pink apple blossoms were opening. Sigh...a wee bit homesick for Wiscinsin-snow and all. The Springs there were some kind of beautiful!

That sounds so pretty. :) I'm not fond of dandelions, but this year we do have a bumper crop of them. :)

Good afternoon ya'll!!! Thought I'd pop in for a quick Howdy. I miss playing during the day but I have to be careful how much time I spend online, I don't want to get banned or fired.

I'm getting ready to start a new project and it sounds like they're gonna keep me busier than a one armed paper hanger with an itch! LOL For ya'll who ain't from tha South, that means real, real busy. ;)

A new computer is still on the back burner but I'll be checking in from home when my system lets me. Even when I'm not here I'm thinking of ya so don't feel like you've been forgotten. Love, Donnie

This brings memories of a dear friend of ours in North Carolina. June was a widow who worked for my Endocrinologist, and we tucked her under our wings.

We gave her firewood from our abundance, living in the woods, and included her on vacations to the beach and in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

Although she was a warm and lovely and attractive person, she was not dating, and I knew no one ever brought her flowers.

Since I was on an insulin infusion pump for 9 years and frequently went across the street from the hospital where I worked for consultations, I started plucking dandelions and other weed blooms on the way over to take to her....

Here's to ya, June, and those wonderful times, my friend, at Cherry Grove Beach by the Atlantic and Little Switzerland up in the mountains, and all the hours we shared as friends (tying in your calendar, FTH) - -

I understand the concern about being "banned or fired" - I live that reality, too. Kinda *stinks* don't it?

We just received two notifications about voluntarily removing "contraband" programs from our PCs or having the techies come out en masse and doing it for us - probably being written up in the process. *Big Brother* is alive and well - ugh!

A hearty second to that *stinks* part! Makes me wish I worked for myself, well that's not the only thing that does... :)

There hasn't been anything that direct that I know of but I overheard my boss talking to someone on the phone about net usage. I've cut waaay back but I figured it would be good to make myself scarce for a while. *Big Brother* is alive and well - ugh! And her name is Hildabeast!
