"Actually I LIKE dandelions. And yes I do think yellow is cheery."

This brings memories of a dear friend of ours in North Carolina. June was a widow who worked for my Endocrinologist, and we tucked her under our wings.

We gave her firewood from our abundance, living in the woods, and included her on vacations to the beach and in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

Although she was a warm and lovely and attractive person, she was not dating, and I knew no one ever brought her flowers.

Since I was on an insulin infusion pump for 9 years and frequently went across the street from the hospital where I worked for consultations, I started plucking dandelions and other weed blooms on the way over to take to her....

Here's to ya, June, and those wonderful times, my friend, at Cherry Grove Beach by the Atlantic and Little Switzerland up in the mountains, and all the hours we shared as friends (tying in your calendar, FTH) - -

I've always thought dandelions are beautiful ... most weeds are.

And agree, also, yellow is a very cheery color ... kinda ... sunshiney ... )

You're beautiful inside and out. : )

Missouri has "weed flowers" al along the country roads, I don't know the names of them but most are quite beautiful.

Ok, ok....dandelions *in a field of wildflowers 'n stuff* is not so bad, but I don't want them in my grass! I like GRASS in my yard, and those little yellow flowers are intruders! :)
