Typically, the art of subtlety would be to let that come out during Congressional testimony. Orchestrating this critique in the press the day he is suppose to testify makes it look like the President fears what Clarke has to say.

How could the resignation letter story be worth a headline, but not this. Drudge needs some coffee.

What other lying, dissembling, tool-of-the-socialist-state SOB was in the briefing, I wonder?

Drudge has a link up, but it is not the headline (something about a one-fingered salute on AI leads his page -- with picture -- ).

I agree...the book was part of a PLAN...just like the lack of Bubba's book is part of a PLAN.

Now that it's played out--looks to me like Fox had the goods from the beginning, and let out enough rope to Clarke for him to hang himself. Looking back, I was curious as to why Fox kept replaying Clarke's statements, almost as if they wanted to impress them on memory.
A rat in a trap.

Calling Mark Levin Can't wait to listen to Levin tonight. He's absolutely no-holds barred, speaks his mind without reticence.

Does anybody have CBS' contact information lying around. It is time that CBS got an earful for this disgraceful example of journalism. Angel wasn't the only one present, as Andrea Mitchell also appears present. It's time that these media-spinsters pay a price for their deception of the American public.

>>>So this was not an exclusive interview with Fox? Other media reps were present? If so, it's even more damning, because none have stepped forward with this correction. It was up to the "biased" Fox network to get out the truth that was apparently available to all the networks.
Exactly my reaction as well. We should email NBC on this point.

This is, or should be, a classic case study in media bias, one that should be written up in textbooks, presented in every journalism course in the nation, and studied for years to come. Of course, it won't be.
