This issue should be approached by Republicans STRICTLY ACCORDING TO LAW, not religious beliefs. The public instictively recoils whenever they see a bunch of people on TV talking about Jesus and morality etc. I'm not bashing these people, but it is the truth.

True, but the marriage licenses have been alter from their original state in order to perpatrate this little scam. I highly doubt that the state will ever recognize the marriage certificates and I wouldn't be surprised if Arnold orders the marriage certificates null and void.

We both know we're on opposite sides of this issue and I try to be as straight a shooter as I can.

I have to admit I am reveling in the spread of this particular brand of street theatRE from sea to shining sea.

It is energising my fellow travelers to man the parapets and barricades.

And for that I am truly grateful to Major Whatshisname in SF, Mayor Daley in Chicago and the Queen of Massachusetts, Margaret Marshall.

LOL, this society is in the toilet. While I don't suggest we accept it, we should realize where we are and learn to live with (never accept) it.

I have waxed rhapsodic on the evils of MTV, the trash movies and devalued culture for years. When I did there was always someone around to make the inane comment that... "well we had MTV when I grew up and I survived it. Music is so important you know."

Folks, we've been ignoring the time to draw the line and now we're reaping the whirlwind.

I say it's time to bitch slap some of these leftists into the last decade for their treachery!

I have advocated an open stance on gay issues. I did not want to be in the position of having to condemn them openly. I was willing to leave well enough alone as long as they were willing to live simple lives quietly.

This not being the case, it's becoming clear that these folks want their deviancy accepted on a par with heterosexuality, I'm having to rethink my stance. I think it's time to say hell no. And I mean a resounding hell f------ no!

Homosexuality is wrong. I may tolerate it in the interest of being a good person, now willing to impose my beliefs on others in public, but since they want to impose their beliefs system on me, screw tolerance.

If someone were to offer up a civil law condemning homosexuality and imposing civil penalties, for the first time in my life, I'm all for it. And if this keeps up, I'm going to go even further.

Legitimization of homosexual marriages will create a situation which will be very confusing to children. "If it is wrong mommy and daddy, why is it legal?"

Folks, this isn't about homosexual rights. It's about prosthelization and the ability for people to make the claim that they are no different that heterosexuals, just that they were wired differently. I may buy that for some, but for others it was the introduction of homosexual relations which they participated in at an early age, that convinced them that they were wired that way.

If homosexual marriage is allowed to fly on a par with heterosexual marriages, the incidence of homosexuality in the population as a whole will grow exponentially. Will that be because of a gene, or a de-gene-rate? Frankly, I'm banking on the later.

Hell no to homosexual marriage on a par with heterosexuals.

I wish Arnold had done this a week ago, but I was pleased he came out relatively early with a statement against what is happening (especially as he is thought to be fairly liberal socially)...and I think he expected that even S.F. judges would have put a stop to this by now. When it didn't happen today, he decided enough is enough.

Something I find troubling is that Lockyer was supposedly given an advance warning before last weekend and didn't act on that immediately...of course, he didn't want to.

The Governator can't rule something "null & void" if it's against the Law. It's already done for him. Arnold was pretty smart on this one and, he's right, follow the rule of law and facts.

I think next up on the theatrics front, one of the newly married couples employed by the Federal government applies for spousal benefits... See Kate O'Beirne in today's "Corner" on NRO.

Wear a mask, maybe an Edwards mask, is my best suggestion.

Hey, that's a great idea; I don't want to be recognized here in North Carolina.

ROTFLMAO!

Yep, and traditional marriage is necessary for the survival of the species.

and blocked about 30 angry couples from obtaining licenses just 40 minutes before closing.

Be honest, wouldn't you have really LOVED to have seen that?

I agree, this has to be approached correctly. The libs and the media are just waiting to seize on this issue and draw a line of "religon" vs. "civil rights" right across it.

We need to nullify their ability to demonize this by approach it, in a very matter of fact, by the law kind of manner.

I still wonder what about any man and woman who wanted to get a marriage license but couldn't due to this gay experiment. In case the cretins in the Mayor's office forgot, those were the people they were supposed to provide services for.

Someday liberals have to understand that a government office isn't their personal playhouse, like it was under Clinton.

Scott McClellan said today "the
President is watching these events
very closely...VERY!"

Former SF Mayor Willie Brown said
today that he assumes the judges
in CA will side with gays, THEN
CA will insist all states honor
these marriages under "Full Faith
& Credit" in the US Constitution.

So you see, W knows it's not just
a state matter.

Toadja so the other nite, Howlin.

You also told me you didn't know what an executive order was, so I pretty much ignore your comments now.
