Kerry's Anti-War Record Discussed at White House Briefing
2/10/2004 | Jeff Gannon

Posted on 02/10/2004 2:56:29 PM PST by Jeff Gannon

This was the exchange at today's White House press briefing, much of which focused on George W. Bush's service records with the National Guard.

JEFF GANNON (Talon News): Since there have been so many questions about what the President was doing over 30 years ago, what is it that he did after his honorable discharge from the National Guard?

Did he make speeches alongside Jane Fonda, denouncing America's racist war in Vietnam?

Did he testify before Congress that American troops committed war crimes in Vietnam?

And did he throw somebody else's medals at the White House to protest a war America was still fighting?

What was he doing after he was honorably discharged?

MR. McCLELLAN: We've already commented on some of his views relating back to that period the other day. And, obviously, this was a time period also when he was going to get his MBA at Harvard. But the President was certainly proud to serve in the National Guard.

TERRY MORAN (ABC NEWS): And would the White House consider those actions by Senator Kerry, that Jeff mentions fair game in the political season?

MR. McCLELLAN: Terry, I think -- I know that that's a way to try to draw us into a Democratic primary that is ongoing.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>HEY, BIG APPLAUSE<<<<<<<<<<<

One thing we can count on, President Bush supports our brave USA TROOPS. He believes in them. He will do all he can do make sure they are the best ever. He wants Victory.

One thing we can count on John Kerry to do, is NOTHING when it comes to our brave USA TROOPS and our war on terrorism. He wants appeasement.

Somehow the democrat leaders have forgotten IX-XI.

"The White House should keep hands off of Kerry until he has the nomination locked. Let Kerry have enough rope to hang him"

You must have been talking to my husband. This is exactly what he has said. I can't repeat what I've said.

Again, for the third and last time, name the names of Republican attackers that were effective in bringing down Dean. If not, you're wasting my time with your petty arguments.

You know what? This is all trivia. And you are so determined to deny Republicans any credit it is clear where you are coming from.

The fact remains that all the things that brought Dean down were pointed out by Republicans repeatedly...BEFORE the media and the Dems caught on to it.

Your denial is astounding. You should volunteer as a Dean campaign worker.

Let's see. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Karl Rove, Brit Hume, O'Reilly, FOX and Friends who made him a laughing stock in the AM. etc etc.

Have you been living in a hole somewhere or what?

I heard Kerry on the radio one day last month saying that looking into past military records and actions during that time were fair game. I guess he was only thinking President Bush's record would qualify for that.

Too damn bad, Mr. Kerry!

I heard you on the Sean Hannity show and it was the only thing that kept me somewhat sane this afternoon. I had heard about the press corps terrorising Scott McClellan, and their lousy comments about the ANG records.

Thank you for pointing out that they didn't even know what they were reading - that none of them had served in the Military and didn't know how to read the form they were handed a copy of.

What a bunch of slimeballs.

I pray every night that more and more conservatives choose journalism as a major becaue we have to do something to get rid of the Liberals (Socialists, really) stranglehold on the media.

Thank you for being where you are. A breath of fresh air!

Am I really?

You're telling me that Rush, Rove, O'Reilly, Hannity and all the other Republicans who were laughing at Dean and considered him an out of control unelectable bozo..had NOTHING to with the Dems in IOWA and the NH deciding the SAME THING a week or two later?

Are you trying to make me laugh on purpose or what?

According to your logic, the characterizations of Dean by the republicans as unelectable WHEN HE WAS LEADING IN THE POLLS had NOTHING to do with the Dems and the media drawing the SAME conclusion two weeks later. You are too funny.

"Have you noticed that not a single news source will even touch it? That alone shows how much they fear it. This is going to backfire on the Democrats huge. "

I agree. I think most people haven't the slightest idea about John "F" Kerry's dirty past, and the democrats have let the media fooled them into thinking that he is a war hero, period. Therefore they think he is electable. Well, wait until they learn what comes after the period...

The second thoughtful post by you on this thread and another one hit outta the park!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for expressing exactly what I fear/think are the Dumbocrats hopes- to eradicate America for some global group-think. Gives me the shudders just to type those words.

Not only is Kerry a Marxist -let's not forget Hitlery's true ideology.
