Not in the acquittal. There was a judge which refused to reincarcerate him after a reccomendation this past December for payrole violations.

Poor man. How difficult it must be to share the tragic news.

May God bless her family.

Reporters will find the crime scene soon enough. And you know reporters won't leave that family alone.

there is no dead that is dead enough for the guy who did it, nor means of getting there that is painful enough. (no, he'll lie down on a gurney and be put to sleep, as if he were having dental surgery.) but he will then occupy the seventh hub of hell, a place so tormenting that not even lawyers get sent there.

The jury let him off

Yes, on the testimony that he was trying to keep her from running into traffic by lying on her back. WTF? The lawyer must have cherry picked the idiots on that jury.

It's time to send smith on a quick boat to hell.

I suspected this, but hoped against it.

Prayers to her family and friends, and for justice on this monster.

"A state Department of Corrections official, meanwhile, said a probation officer had asked a judge to declare Smith in violation of his probation on Dec. 30 [2003] because the unemployed mechanic had not paid all his fines and court costs.

Probation official Joe Papy said Circuit Judge Harry Rapkin declined to find Smith in violation, which could have returned Smith to jail."

That's the judge I want impeached. I forgot his name. Rapkin needs to be thrown off the bench immediately.

Florida did have the death penalty, and still may. Florida used the electric chair and there was alot of liberal upset because the chair was faulty and kept setting the condemned on fire, yet Florida refused to execute by any other means at that time.

At times like these, you hope the state stuck to its guns.

It was not the payrole officer or probation officers fault.

Judge Rapkin needs to lose his job. And be forced to attend the funeral for this young lady, looking the parents in the eyes.

You're right, we do have the death penalty here and we just utilized it this past week. I hope this monster burns in hell for eternity.
