Judge Rapkin needs to lose his job. And be forced to attend the funeral for this young lady, looking the parents in the eyes.Has this weasel even issued a statement to Carlie's family? If not this guy should be rotting in hell along with Smith.

I'll stay over in the Jewish section. We don't let murderers and rapists and the like into our area of paradise. ;^) Not even King David?

Would it have benefitted society to see me -- an articulate, successful professional with some very large potential -- as a felon?I can't speak for society, but FR would be a poorer place without you.

Really?
Do you happen to know if the art gallery owner was female?
If not, and he's tied to the crime, perhaps Joe Smith was just on a rampage of rage killing...

Christians no more let ANYone into heaven for SAYing they are a Christian, than a Jew would let ANYone into heaven for SAYing they were a Jew!
And, of course, it isn't what one SAYS he is, but what he REALLY is, that counts.
Having said that, too many Christians have forgotten that the Tanakh or 'ole testament' is very much a part of the Bible and still in force, every word of it, and it says that whoever takes the life of man, by man his life shall be taken.
Then too, it is not Christians who decide whether a person might be admitted into Paradisse, but G-d himself, who will make no mistakes.
Christians need more backbone and fierceness than some seem to have, but after a few more years of war with Islam I think they may get a backbone back again. They had it at one time, they civilized the West and the Americas and not by being wimpy either.

I looked up that Gallery murder. I see the victim WAS female. (Her name was Joyce Wishart).
He looks like a likely prospect for a suspect in that case.

Did he make a deal?
I heard on the radio a little while ago that they cut a deal in an all night session.

I think we could work out some sort of community service with the german. He could come over here and be in charge of ushering the death penalty for child rapists and murderers. I believe he likes to start with the weenie of the guy, cut it off in front of him, cook it up and then eat it. The perp watching that happen to himself would only be right, and then we could say that we did indeed have a justice system.

I don't mean to single you out, so forgive me, but it just gets worse after he was acquitted.
A probation Officer turned him in for Parole violation [wrt to testing positive for drugs], wanted him BACK in jail, and the JUDGE let him go! Let's hear it for a Probation Officer who was doing his job. Lousy judge.
Just one screwup after another led to this tragedy.

Prayers to the family. As the brother of a murdered sister I know what this feels like. My mother has never gotten over the pain of her loss.
I hope the guilty party is swiftly brought to justice.

Remarkably poor judgment from this robe over the years, eh?

Let that be a lesson to those of us who have jury duty
The problem is that although many are called for jury duty, the damn lawyers pick only the dolts of the world to actualy be part of the jury.

I just left a VOICEMAIL MESSAGE at Judge Ripken's office. The number is 1-941-861-7972. It's working for voicemail. Next step: email and call Governor Bush. Last step: Call the Judicial Qualifications Commission, even though they'll say it's not their problem.
Beyond the Florida level, other freepers should encourage their acquaintances to contact Greta, Hannity, Newsmax.com, etc. so they know that once again, an activist Judge didn't put a bad guy in jail where he belonged.
My message to Ripken's voicemail: He's accountable because he was soft on crime and that J. Ripken was on the internet. I also stated that I was already disgusted with J. Greer, Baird and Demers and now the 12th Circuit.
The contact numbers are all at myflorida.com. Or, do a google for the JQC. Further, Complaining to the PR person at the 12th Circuit in Manatee comes to mind as well. They have some spainin' to do.

You are assuming that you are going??? Better hope Jesus was the biggest liar in history because he said he was the only way to the Father. He said He was the Way the Truth and the Light that nobody goes to the Father but by him. His forgiveness is endless and his mercy is endless. I am no better a sinner than a murderer and he died for both of our sins. I hope you someday learn who he is.
Pray for W and The Truth
