SANAA, Yemen, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A purported statement by al-Qaida in Yemen warned Saturday of a "major strike" soon in the United States.
The statement, distributed by the Yemeni Tagamoo Party for Reforms, said: "A major strike, a big event will take place in America soon," reminiscent of the Sept. 11 attacks.

So this sounds like our Saudi-American deal made between Franklin Roosevelt and King Abd al-Aziz is broken!
WE NOW SHOULD start LOBBYING to have our capped rigs UNcapped and oil production OPENNED in Gull Island Alaska. If they are turning to China for allies, then our deal is broken for protecting the Saudi Arabian Royal family....they mutated our alliance.

This is from a previous article regarding the attack by the insurgents.
"The attack was at the same compound hit two days earlier during a visit by U.S. Gen. John Abizaid"
and
"The same ICDC base came under a bold attack on Thursday, when gunmen on nearby rooftops opened fire with rocket propelled grenades and automatic weapons just as Abizaid -- the top U.S. commander in the Middle East -- pulled into the compound in a convoy."
The question to be answered is why was Gen. John Abizaid there in the first place. Was he there to see an important prisoner?

Ships collide on Bayonne waterway The Associated Press
2/15/2004, 7:48 p.m. ET
BAYONNE, N.J. (AP) Two ships collided and a third was struck while moored in the water off Bayonne early Sunday, a U.S. Coast Guard official said.
No one was hurt and no material spilled into the waterway even though the tanker involved in the accident was carrying 350,000 barrels of fuel oil, said Coast Guard Petty Officer Mike Hvozda.
The accident occurred in the Kill Van Kull, the waterway between New Jersey and Staten Island used by ship traffic to access New York Harbor.
The collision happened at 3 a.m. Sunday between an outbound freight ship and an inbound container ship. The container ship then hit the tanker, which was moored at the International-Matex Tank Terminal preparing to off-load the fuel oil, Hvozda said.
The Coast Guard is investigating the accident.
Drug and alcohol tests have not yet been completed and a damage assessment is under way, Hvozda said.
The 577-foot Turkish freight ship was carrying scrap metal to China. The 804-foot container ship, a German vessel named the Yellow Sea, was carrying more than 1,000 general cargo containers.
The Yellow Sea sustained more than 100 feet of damage to its side, Hvozda said. The extent of damages to the other two vessels was not immediately known.
Traffic on the waterway has been reduced to one lane.
Hvozda said the accident investigation could take months to complete.

I must have been desperate for movie rentals because I know I've already seen this one (they all seem alike when they're Chuck Norris movies). The good thing is that no one has noticed permanent damage to me from it! Must have rented it before my 25 year old son left home - there would be no other reason.

Check out customer satisfaction reviews for that cruise line in comparison to other cruise lines. Quite interesting and amusing to read. We once visited Haiti too and look at what's going on there now! There's a lot of severe poverty in the Caribbean that we never hear about.

Gee Whiz, pity party for those 4 dead Saddam supporters? Aw shucks - feeling bad there weren't more of them lined up in that truck. Going for some strawberries and whipped cream as my personal celebration of this event.

Abdul Qadeer Khan suffers heart attack Monday, 16 February , 2004, 09:48
Islamabad: Pakistan's top scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan, involved in clandestine nuclear sales to "rogue states", has reportedly suffered a heart attack.
"Dr Khan is under treatment at his residence and his condition is said to be critical," a local daily quoted hospital officials of the country's premier nuclear installation, Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) as saying.
It said in view of his "poor cardiac" condition, a heart specialist along with a cardiac machine was "secretly" sent to the nuclear scientist's residence.
Khan had been suffering from pain in his left hand since he was questioned by intelligence agencies for the past few months for his alleged involvement in transferring nuclear technology, The Dawn daily said.
He met President Pervez Musharraf a fortnight ago and admitted his guilt. He confessed about his involvement in nuclear proliferation over state television after which he was pardoned by the military ruler.
