Is it time to boycott Heinz?

A thought occurred to me this morning: every time someone purchases a bottle of Heinz ketchup or 57 sauce (or any other Heinz product), aren't they potentially donating to the Kerry campaign?
Is it time for a Freeper boycott of Heinz products?

Get a friggin' clue. Teresa's isn't a real Heinz. She was married to John HeinzMeaning what? That she's one of the few wives in history not to inheret her husband's fortune, including ownership interests in a company?
I have to say, some of the reaction to this thread is amazing in its vitrol. I posted this thread as a query, for discussion purposes and some of the Freepers here are acting like I suggested we "IMPEACH BUSH!!!" or "SHOOT TERESA HEINZ'S DOG!!!"
Geez. With reactions like this, I'm surprised anyone ever said word one about the Dixie Chicks.
If you think the boycott is a bad idea for whatever reason, that's fine. There are perfectly legitimate reasons for that position, and I wanted give and take on the issue... but can you be a little more polite?

Hi;
I think it is time to protest the hate-mongering tactics of the Heinz-Kerry led Democrat party. Heinz-Kerry and his surrogates have used the following code words in recent months to denounce President Bush - "Betray" - "AWOL" - "Deserter" - "Benedict Arnold". These words all have a common meaning, TRAITOR, and regardless of any disagreements with the policies of the President, this is beyond the pale of civil discourse. President Bush has faithfully protected our homeland from further attacks by the evil-doers. For that, he certainly does not deserve the tarring the Heinz-Kerrys are trying to paint him with. The Heinz-Kerrys have to realize these tactics have consequences. I believe those consequences should include a boycott of all Heinz products and brands. Do not buy these products and call any restaurants before going to see if they serve Heinz ketchup. If they say yes, tell them that you will not patronize any restaurant that deals with Heinz products as Heinz-Kerry encourages hate-mongering. DO NOT BUY THESE PRODUCTS OWNED BY HEINZ-KERRY!
Bagel Bites - Boston Market - Catelli - Classico - EZ Marinader - Farley's - Heinz - Jack Daniels Grilling Sauce - Linda McCartney Meals - Ore-Ida - Poppers - Smart Ones - Weight Watcher's Foods - Wyler's

Do I believe any democrat?
Ever?
NO, she most likely is not giving money directly.
She, is, however, IN the campaign; supporting the campaign by speeches, words, appearances, and actions; and through her charities, is controlling money to people who viciously hating Bush.

I don't believe any democrat either.
That is why I think that it is a total waste of time for them to debate, testify,or answer questions on their positions.

Yes, oddly enough, when I was buying chili sauce to make my oyster dip yesterday, my hand moved away from Heinz and over to another brand. It wasn't precisely a boycott - that is, I hadn't planned it in advance - but it happened anyway.
This woman has already got her money and not buying Heinz is not going to stop her. But it's the thought that counts, and I really don't like the thought of her.

FYI Theresa Heinz has already been caught red-handed trying to use her cash to supplement the Kerry campaign. For example, the manufactured outcry over Bush's 9/11 ads came from a non-profit org. funded by - who else? - the Heinz foundation.
She's not following election law, and has no intention to do so.

There are other American made ketchups, mustards, hot sauces, grilling sauces, barbecue sauces, pickles, etc.True. I'm not particularly brand loyal but definitely shun some brands. There is no Heinz product in my house and never will be.

Del Monte makes a fine product.

Del Monte makes a fine product. I'm a Del Monte guy myself. I think they make good Ketchup, but come to think of it, I think they make Catsup.

Way ahead of you, partner. Started 18 months ago. HUNT ketchup is satisfactory for me.
Good idea.

Her Tides Foundation is funding organizations that are subversive, hold anti-war marches, and one of those organizations she funds supported the destruction of downtown Seattle during the WTO meeting.
And .. in case you haven't noticed, the 9/11 ad threads expose the Tides foundation complicity.

Yes, this is how our country works!
Nobody can force me to buy a product I don't want to buy. I have the freedom to choose - and I will choose not to buy Heinz products - period!! Why should I support someone who gives her money to support groups who destroy property, hold anti-war marches, and launch attacks against MY PRESIDENT.
"Nothing to object to" .. I think you better look again, and this time put your glasses on.

I don't agree with you at all.
If I decide not to buy Heinz, that is my freedom to choice.
