[history]
One way to look at life is that we're all waiting. You're born, you grow into the autonomy of adulthood, and then you have to find a way to pass your time until a) you enter your real life, the one that never ends and is full of joy, or b) you enter the meaningless black void that is death and the silence of the tomb. The trick lies in finding a way to spend your time that is pleasurable, satisfying and honorable. What does this have to do with political prognostication? I really don't know. I just know that political pundits have chosen, as their way to spend the heart of their adult years, gathering the latest facts on and trying to explain politics.

he'll have enough support to become a third party candidate and ensure that Bush carries every state. Hey have you been reading my mind? I must have a hole in my tinfoil hat.
To: Pokey78
In my opinion the best Democratic candidate to face Bush is Lieberman. I think in the matchup he would be their best and possibly strongest person. The rest of them are really too left-wing.

It's a conspiracy, I tell you, a conspiracy!
Actually, I think you've just been rubbing off on me in each of the forums and I'm going to demand a health exam. ;)

All kidding aside this Dean 3rd party thing is an astue observation. If Dean does not get this nomination he is finished in democrat politics. He has not only burned his bridges he has drained the river. However, this insane asylum of an organization he has put together could make him a real player in 3rd party politics. His followers are really a cult and he can ask for a million bucks and they send their lunch money and allowances to him by the thousands. 3rd party candidates are a weird breed, they make a career of running and losing but they keep a core of true believers that allow for a very comfortable living. Dean has the same thing going for him that Perot had in 92. This guy is not going to bow out gracefully.

I would really like to be present at the very moment when Dean realizes that all of his Bush hating and pandering to the wacko wing of his party has come to naught.
I'll bet he loses it big-time and his wife has to fix him a nice intravenous nightcap.

But I suspect there's something else at work. I wonder if mainstream media aren't trying to save the Democratic Party from Mr. Dean.Yowzer.

Accent? Edwards has an accent? I never noticed. Wait till you get a load of Deans when he gets down here. I heard he has had to have the Heimlich maneuver performed twice while trying to say Y'all. Ann Richards just signed on as his speech coach.

In a recent column, I remember Peggy opined that she wanted the democrats to nominate a man of substance, so that election '04 would be about issues and clear choices.
I just want a GWB landslide with long coattails. IOWs, I do not want Iowa to be Howard's End.

Someone said of Mr. Gephardt recently that he always looks like he has a fever. I laughed when I heard this because it's true.Soul Mates: The Meltdown Continues
Tom Daschle calls Dick Gephardt
his "partner and soul mate" in the
afterglow of his mid-week meltdown.
This is too good...
