They came across as unrehearsed and real.
Mrs Schindler was wearing a top and sweater, a deep purple or fuscia color, glassed and imperfect hair, just like a mom. Mr Shindler was wearing a suit, brownish, I believe, and kept his hands together in front of his chest, moving them a bit and obviously natural-not primed and perfected for a media appearance.
Their answers came firmly and with intensity.
They seemed to have to be careful over what they stated.
The father got in very important details-that an advocacy group was investigating Terri's abuse (I believe he meant her imprisonment). He said that Terri has had 'no stimulation, no therapy, no outings, a broken wheelchair and none since, that she is a virtual PRISONER'
And Mrs Schindler was asked by Alan about Terri having received therapy, and she clearly stated, and this was the end of the interview, that "Terri was taken to california and mediplex but after MS received the money award, all therapy STOPPED TEN YEARS AGO.
They looked sad but calm and real. Mrs Schindler bent her head down slightly after her last statement and I could feel her discouragement.
Mr. Schindler was asked earlier WHY the STATE is not doing something for Terri now and he responded-'That is a good question. I don't know.'
I am THANKFUL to Hannity and Colmes and Fox News for airing this segment.
Oh-and Sean also got in that MS had a long appearance on another show.
That, I believe, was referring to the past spin v. current spin. To get the money, Terri's medical state was such that she was in PVS but could be helped. After Mikhell got the money, she was not able to be helped. She wouldn't want to live like that.
How could you forget Kobe? I am really fed up with all of it. I wrote this letter to them last week....I don't know if you saw it or not. I posted it on another thread.
For several years, if I was home, the television was on and tuned to Fox News. The past couple of months, all that has changed. The reason: Kobe and Scott. Well, that's not entirely the reason, but they are the glaring synptom of a much more serious problem, and that is the picking and choosing of what gets reported. With all due respect, your priorities stink. In a year, 10 years, 20 years, nobody is even going to know who Scott Peterson and Kobe Bryant are, and most people wish they didn't know now. It is no wonder that America is such a mess when the top Cable News network thinks THAT is what is important in America today. Well, maybe it is if you're trying to appeal to the brainless wonders of the public school system whose idea of mental stimulation is MTV, but if you are trying to hold on to a reasonably intelligent audience, I would recommend you aim a little higher.
Our country is at war, our borders are being invaded, expressions of our faith are being driven underground, racism is not only being institutionalized, but enshrined, we have a judge in Florida passing a death sentence on a woman who has committed no crime while protecting the one who has committed crimes against her, democrats in congress can't open their mouths without undermining the president, we have traitors sitting on the Senate intelligence committee selling out national security in deference to their political ambitions and in the Senate, they can't seem get it through their pea brains that they are in the minority and use playground level bullying and childish temper tantrums to keep the president's judicial nominees from going to the floor for a vote because they object to the fact that these are judges who honor the Constitution instead of being judicial tyrants who hold the entire country hostage to the communist agenda of the likes of the ACLU and NAACP.
These are all issues that will impact ALL of our futures, and the futures of our children and grandchildren. These are issues whose disposition will determine the course of history for generations to come, but what do you talk about? Kobe and Scott. WHO CARES? I will get my news from Free Republic. I will still turn on Fox, and sometimes do when someone on Free Republic says there is something on worth hearing about and with which I am concerned as an American, but those times are getting less frequent all the time. I hate seeing Fox News go the way of the rest of the media, giving a platform to every fork-tongued, empty-headed blowhard with a belly full of hatred for everything American while virtually ignoring that these are the same people who are gnawing away the very fabric of our country. Is there anybody left in the media who has an objective relationship with the truth?

Just remembered another question asked by Alan about the Schindlers saying parents should have a say in their adult incapaciated children's medical decisions/getting the law changed:
Alan asked if they thought it would be "better" if parents were the guardians, not the spouse. She said no, not better. But, she said, MICHAEL HAD ONLY BEEN HER HUSBAND FOR 4 YEARS AT THE TIME THIS HAPPENED. That Terri has always been their daughter. But they, as parents for all these years, have no rights, no ability to say anything about their own child.
Yes, it was, but that was my impression of what they meant....but, I it's possible I'm wrong, too.
Prosper those who are involved in investigating Michael's treatment of his wife .. let nothing remain hidden from them .. confuse the words of those who claim death for Terri is her wish .. let those of silken tongue be seen and heard as vulgar, ugly, merchants of death. Draw support to Terri's side .. vindicate her family as they give of themselves totally for their loved one. Protect her where she is until the day of her freedom .. may it be thus, Lord Jesus, in Your Name I pray, Amen ...
