Their God is the God of darkness, or the moon. It's a mix of paganism and a touch of Christianity because of the missionaries. They're nothing alike. Voo-doo is a mix of ancient africanism and Catholicism. Voo-doo isn't Christianity either.

And guess what? The Constitution protects Muslims, Voodooists, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jews, Pagans, agnostics and atheists, just as much as it does Christians.

And that's what really enrages you, isn't it, that all those "hell-bound sinners"(in your view) have the same rights that you do?

They fought for their States, to defend their homes against an INVADER, for each other, and for their sense of duty and honor.

Where did you learn your history? Revisionism-R-Us?

When they have so many children and no father to feed them, it's their call.

Not really - all children, regardless of the circumstances they are born into, are gifts from God, and should be viewed as such... to consider them anything less leads to where we are today, i.e. abortion on demand, etc...

And these things only happen to non-Christians? Right.....

Yes. The Christians (ones that pay attention ) know better. They now not to steal. It's in the book. Lie, adultry, murder, worship critters, dirt and rock, whatever. The Ten Commandments aren't that bad. Actually, this country could use a good , moral wake up call.

somebody wrote a book about the wit and wisdom of Spiro T Agnew once, doesn't mean that he actually had any.

Got an argument of substance or do you just parrot other posters' remarks?

He's in the same position as a sales person who constantly asks prospective customers if they are "saved", prosletyzing those who say no, is asked by their boss to desist, and refuses.

No one was being forced to walk to the back of the room to read it. No one was being forced to be read to.

And no one was allowed to place monuments promoting any opposing viewpoint. Moore cooked his own goose by saying that a hypothetical Islamic monument would be "inappropriate". He was correct then, but on the same grounds so was his marker.
Who decided PC was the countries new theology? Who decided athiesm would be the new government mandated religion?
Is there a proclamation of atheism in any US courthouse or government building? I think not. "Atheism" is not a lack of religious assertion. It, like Pentecostalism, is a specific belief.
What about taxes. Christians are forced to pay taxes for public lands, yet are the only group not allowed to use that land for their Christian activities. Why do you think that is?
Christians have the same right to use public facilities for religious activities as Muslims, Jews, Atheists, Pagans, Wiccans, Zoroasterians, etc....

I didn't say the 1st amendment didn't apply to the states, only that the the egregious interpretation of it does not. The wording is plain - it doesn't take a lawyer to understand it.

So they removed judge Moore for acknowledging God and the Ten Commandments as the foundation for law, and for "displaying" them. Yep- He's a crimminal alright. Ve Vill not acknowledge God in public.......

Better take "in God we trust" off the money, and get the sandblasters out to take the Ten Commandments off the Supreme Court. The Lincohln memorial should be put in the basement, and take all the crosses out of Arlington Cemetary- Some liberal might walk by and "see" them and be "offended". Look for them to start suing . Oh and the Declaration of Independence and Constitution have to go too, a liberal might walk by and notice the references to God.

All public references to God will be removed.
-The Tyranny of the Minority has spoken.

Now if you want to display a Crucifix in urine, or a painting of the Virgin Mary smeared with elephant poop-that's perfectly ok- You are "free" to do that.

"You're just angy because you want Chrsitianity to be the official religion to the detriment of non-Christians , and the constitution
doesn't allow it."

It is the official religion. As far as wanting it forced on people...no. But it best be in the majority. What you are getting is a nation of division. Maybe someday it will end up a nation with no direction at all. How long will we stand then? What will guide us? Self centeredness? Shall we listen to the hindu's, The Isamist's. Maybe the day will come when we will declare Jhad's instead of war. Do you think you can stop it when we are all divided or will the most clever people in subverting the system be the ones who succede? Or will we just have Chaos? Our freedom and our constituton is based on Christianity. Unless you are the only person on earth then you cannot be free without a moral code. And you will not have a lasting moral code if you do not believe in a higher judgement. And you will not remain free and secure if you do not have love for one another over ones self.
Christianity is why we made it this far. The lack of it is why our country will fall apart in Chaos.

And yes I belive that the God of Christianity is the one real God. Why that is...is a study in of itself. But you don't even have to believe that in order to take note of the points above.

I know one large organization of Christians who won't support your boycott, The Baptist Joint Committee

How dare you muddy this discussion with facts! Don't you know that all true Christians believe that Moore is very close to the 2nd coming of Christ?

Yes. The Christians (ones that pay attention ) know better.

Umm, I think you and I need to talk. I know this might shatter your world view and everything, but even christians are susceptible to sin. It happens everyday. Christians CAN, and DO, sin - after all, we are human, and therefore imperfect. To think otherwise is an affront against God.

God doesn't even expect us to be perfect. All he really asks, is that we sincerely try...

(I think) It is kinda like the buddist priciple duty or Dharma; The thread in which we touch people is stretched infinately thin through our actions. Our decision of buying a pack of gum affects everyone around us in some way. If are actions are based on positive constructive thought rather than base desire, the world has been built up rather than torn down... now I have a tendancy to do all sorts of selfish things, but it doesn't mean I cannot aspire.

for example, the base desire of the environmentalist to see the environment pristine in So Cal led to complete devistation of the basin... absolutely pagan and negative.

from http://vava.essortment.com/differencesbetw_rrax.htm

Gita (II, 47). One should not act because one can gain by so doing, but rather because action, in itself, is necessary

If you're thinking of joining your local militia, be aware that having a big beer gut is usually required for membership

You sound like one of those elitist liberals who think of southerners at KKK hooded morons. I am 6'2", 210 pounds, graduated summa cum laude. Does that sound like I am a moron with a beer gut?

On a governmental basis, the same thing that has guided us for over 200 years, our Constitution.

On a nongovernmental basis, we guide ourselves. We go in different directions at times. That is the essence of freedom, of individuality taking precedence over collectivism.

Moore's defiance of those oligarchs is the "John Brown" signature shot of an even more horrible oppression and civil conflict coming with-in a generation or so.

Wild exaggeration

One should also note that even in the bible, christians who did the "right thing", i.e. followed what their God and their heart told them was the correct path, suffered negative consequences - no one said being a christian would be easy, nor should it be...

Islam believes that Jews, Christians, and Muslims all worship the same God. -Eric

So does the Catholic Church, the largest branch of Christianity.

Catholic Church Catechism

841 The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."
