This is the D.C. Chapter's press release for the Freedom Rally Against Terror and Tyranny:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS RALLY

WEST FRONT OF CAPITOL, WASHINGTON, D.C.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2003

Confirmed Speakers include:

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic, an independent grassroots conservative group, has held numerous rallies and counter-demonstrations over the past two years in support of America, our troops, the war on terror, President Bush and the liberation of Afghanistan and Iraq. We will be joined at this demonstration by veterans, students, average Americans and members of the Iraqi, Iranian and Cuban exile communities.

Web addresses: D.C. Chapter and Free Republic

______________

We would like to thank our speakers in advance for taking the time and effort to come to this rally and join us in supporting our troops and the cause of freedom.

We still need help with the rally. Please feel free to forward the press release to your friends, families and email chains. You can also help by following this link. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

If you are planning to attend the rally, please be aware that we will be holding a counter demonstration in a permitted area along A.N.S.W.E.R.'s march route. The details will be announced Tuesday evening.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting are in effect. Briefly, they are: no violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocation, obey the law, and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

Here is a link to the first announcement thread for the Freedom Rally Against Terror and Tyranny.

You don't happen to have any daisies in your garden, do you? Happy gardening - see you on Saturday.

Hope you can make it (especially remembering your great article about the Capitol Hill bookstore FReep of Hillary last June).

Ride to Pershing Park? Hey, I thought you were leading the pack (single file, of course) all the way from the Capitol at 3rd Street to 15th and Pennsylvania.

I'll take walk vice riding in with tgsl. My brother was awestruck by her driving. He said she put most cabbies to shame as far as getting around town.

Talk about being on a mission from God, The Blues Brothers would have gone pale.

You haven't FReeped 'til you FReep leftists turning the corner at Pershing Park!

Hope you manage to make this awesome rally and FReep of the cANSWER!

Pershing Park is an awesome place to FReep the left-wing flotsam and jetsam as they slither by, turning the corner at the edge of our position.

We're up on a hill with buildings on the other side of Penn Ave reflecting the sound of FReepers chanting.

Those regretting the fall of Saddam and wishing that Kim so-mentally Ill continues his butchery in North Korea will be goose stepping into the FREEPER ECHO ZONE.

Sounds like a great spot! I FReeped the ANSWER scum on January 18 of this year at the Marine Barracks and was a human shield for President Bush and it was tremendous!

Unfortunately, no. There are too many great and creative ideas and just not enough time to see them all to fruition. BUT, I will keep that little gem under my hat, for future community service projects. Shhhh...

He may need your assistance. I've asked for a lot from him. Check with him via FReepmail. Coming from a very large family I've learned that it's always better to have more than to have not-enough. I was a Girl Scout; and we always prepared for Armageddon whenever we went out into the wilderness. Dad was a Marine; our family vacations were always more an invasion/expeditionary force type of event. 'KnowwhatImean?

Ohhh, yes! I forgot about daisies!

Any folks with gardens... bring daisies, if you still have any. Otherwise, some black-eyed susans or coneflowers, etc. might do; on stems, not the whole plant. We don't need acres worth of them, just some.

;-)

Mum's the word!
(Shhhh...)

What?! What's wrong with my driving?

I give everybody who gets into a vehicle with me a helmet.
