Freepers, we need your help NOW! This is coming to you from Terri's family, live from the vigil site.

Jeb Bush has called an emergency special session and they will take it up 8:05am eastern time.IF the measure passes, Terri's execution will be stayed and feeding/hydration will resume immediately. She will be SAVED if this bill passes.

We need you ALL to call the Florida Legislative Branch - House and Senate. They can be found at

http://www.floridasoundoff.com/browse/pol_contact.htm

All contact numbers and emails can be found at this url.

Terri is still alive and she's starting to really feel the effects of dehydration. Her skin is starting to crack, and she is in pain - but TERRI IS FIGHTING TO LIVE. This is NOT over. By the Grace of God, she is still alive. If Terri is willing to fight, we have an obligation to fight along side her. No matter where you are tonight, or where you are registered to vote, we need you to call these Florida Legislators NOW.

Please get to dandelion and ask her how it is that Terri can legally be in a Hospice when she is NOT terminally ill, was NOT in her last days and has NOT had the opportunity to exhaust all means of recuperation.

This is their charter, bigdude77.

Hospice cannot legally kill someone who is not in his or her last days.

THERE MUST BE A WAY TO LET THE HOSPICE ORG OF FLORIDA know that we are aware of this.

Terri should be removed from there by the Schinler's lawyers, immediately. The Hospice is breaking its own rules in order to murder Terri for her husband.

Your call is relevant because you pay your Federal taxes. This whole corrupt system is taxpayer funded and regulated by the Florida politicians that also are on the Board of Directors of various Hospices, and often are listed as part owners. What a conflict of interest.
When emailing the legislators I plan to tell them that I am demanding an investigation of the whole Florida death industry and the many conflicts of interest that seem evident. Let's make them regret the day they ever heard of Terri!!!

>>FLORIDA'S SENATE PRESIDENT JIM KING IS TRYING TO STOP THE TERRI BILL WHICH WOULD PREVENT STARVATION AND DEHYDRATION.

If it was his child, he'd think differently.

I know nothing about Florida laws, but:

What I don't understand is why he didn't, if he could by law, divorce her and leave her to the custody, care, and financial burden of her parents, who would surely have stepped up to assume responsibility for her life, rather than go through THIS.

I wonder, If he couldn't divorce her, could he not have signed her caretaking over to her parents?

He wants to make sure she never speaks, so she can't tell the truth about how she got into the condition she did.

"worldnetdaily.com has been offline for the past two hours. Anyone know what gives? "

Wouldn't be surprised to find that World Net Daily has been hacked.

They've been front and center in defending Terri's right to life.

Truly a spiritual battle going on here.

"If it was his child, he'd think differently. "

Don't be so sure. He was against a law for parents to be notified when their went to have an abortion. It was in an article posted as a new thread. (heck it could be this one) There are so many right now that I have no clue which it was on. I seriously wish we had one central thread for *everything*. My computer keeps crashing because I have too many internet explorer windows open.

If a perverted criminal can be pardoned from a death sentence, why not Terri who has harmed no one?

Are any of those foreign coutries -- who have been screaming when we send a demented killer to the death row -- been speaking out for Terri?

Here's what's in the St. Petersberg Times:

from the markets Byrd joins Schiavo debate

House Speaker Johnnie Byrd, R-Plant City, wants the Legislature to block a court order removing the feeding tube from Terri Schiavo, the brain-damaged woman whose case has gotten international attention. "I think it would simply be a moratorium on the removal of nutrition and hydration from those who do not have a written directive and where there's a contest among the family about how to deal with it,'' Byrd said today. "It would be a very, very narrow approach, but it would be one that would apply to Terri's case.'' The Senate, however, seemed less interested in delving into highly emotional issue, especially in the during the five-day special session that began today to consider a proposal to pay millions of dollars to move a branch of the world's largest private research center to Florida. "All of this came up as of yesterday evening, at 10 o'clock at night, first I heard of it,'' Senate President Jim King said. "We're trying to figure out what to do with it.'' King said he oppoosed the idea, but it was not clear if he would block it. Byrd, who is running for the U.S. Senate, put the issue in pro-life terms. "The real issue for me is, am I doing everything in my power to protect life, and that's what I want to do. I never want to look back,'' Byrd said. "I have three daughters and I think Terri Schiavo is a very beautiful person. I've seen photos of her and I've seen her parents, who love her and want to protect her.'' Bush, who has told Schiavo's parents he would do what he could to intervene to save their daughter, has not taken a public position on Byrd's proposal. - Steve Bousquet

highly emotional issue

We see now what the "Republican" legislators in FL think of murdering a disabled woman. "It's a "highly emotional issue," no more no less. So what's a Republican legislature for then?

I've been able to access it all morning without difficulty; perhaps it's a local problem.

Have they made a decision as to whether to allow the bill or is it dead?
I have not been able to find any later news. In the meantime, the clock is ticking for Terri.
