Rush Limbaugh Warns: America Could Be ‘Trending Toward Secession’
The Political Insider ^ | 12.10.20 | RUSTY WEISS

Conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh believes the political landscape in America makes it possible that the nation is “trending toward secession.”

“I actually think that we’re trending toward secession,” Limbaugh surmised. “I see more and more people asking what in the world do we have in common with the people who live in, say, New York?”

“What is there that makes us believe that there is enough of us there to even have a chance at winning New York, especially if you’re talking about votes?”

And just where does the line get drawn? I live in NC. We have a Republican legislature but a lefty governor and it feels eerily like Cal or NY. Cooper just announced lockdown from 10pm to 5am.

You’re assuming that the bloodthirsty nuts on Twitter are going to honor the posse commiatus act? Not only that, but are you certain that their minions won’t do their bidding?

I don’t know what will happen, but if Texas decides to fight back, anyone attacking will have their hands full (and they better have eyes behind their heads, as many in the military have no intention of fighting for Biden’s Fascist government).

A member of the Texas Legislature is already preparing referendum legislation for a secession vote.

State Representative Kyle Biedermann (R-Fredericksburg)

"In 32 years, that’s not the way I’ve decided to go about handling disagreements with people on the left. I just think they need to be beaten. They need to be defeated. How many times over and over, they need to be defeated? And in more than one election."

The trouble with that idea is now blatantly obvious: we can't simply do this... not with one side willing to lie, cheat, steal, commit criminal acts to steal elections and in all respects do anything require to "win" while we all passively allow it to happen.

My God, that man can talk! He literally could write a 300 page book of thoughts every day in every week.
And here, he’s supposed to be sickly?
I should be so sick! (Please pardon my bad joke).

I have great admiration for Rush.
His talent is communication. Nobody does it better.
We are fortunate he can still make his thoughts known to all.

Every secession needs support from foreign allies.

Aside from Brazil and Poland, I can’t think of any reliable countries right now that would assist a new Coalition of Free American States.

So I’d hold off on any serious secession until foreign threats such as Iran and the CCP have collapsed, first.

The Dems will never let us go peacefully, they need power over everyone. They will not allow their enemies to be happy.

There would be major complications and disruptions should the United States break up.
Just a few examples, Social Security, Medicare, federal pensions, etc. Too many people rely upon these or are too close to retirement to make other plans.
Then, there is the federal debt. Who will be responsible for paying that? The consequences of a debt default would be catastrophic.
Who gets the military and especially the nuclear weapons?
Careful what one asks for.

The best option would be a return to federalism. Quit trying to decide on solutions at the federal level and leave it to the individual state. If New York wants to ban guns fine, let them. If Alabama wants to ban abortions. Ok too.

Yeap. Leaving them with any part of the US military only means war.

They don’t seem interested in anything less than destroying cities, burning and looting stores, and killing Trump supporters.

I’d just as soon take the Constitution, since they are not using it anyway, and go away from them. They can have their crummy Communism and their crummy government running their stupid lives. I just want to be left alone.

It’s like an abusive relationship - do they really have lives, or do they live to hate Trump and his supporters? If the abused wife leaves, it blows their control wide open. Let’s just do it. Maybe Arkansas or ...

Not unconstitutional.
Read some US history from early 19th century.
There was significant worry that Massachusetts (for example) would secede. And i think there were other episodes.
“Unconstitutional” is a bullshit word. Homosexual “marriage” is constitutional? It wasn’t until it was.

Rush is sounding real tired these days, for good reason - I love the guy but chemo and the disease he is fighting takes a lot out of a man.
