Republicans lost the argument, but they ultimately had the votes.
Forty-nine Senate Republicans and one Democrat just confirmed Brett Kavanaugh to the United State Supreme Court. No allegations, no protesters, no public opinion poll showing Brett Kavanaugh is the most unpopular person to be elevated to the nations highest court in recent history was going to stop them.
To the senators who confirmed him, it did not matter that Christine Blasey Ford testified for four hours under oath and told the Senate Judiciary Committee that she was 100 percent certain Brett Kavanaugh was the boy who pulled her into a room at a high school party 36 years ago and tried to force himself on her. It did not matter that Kavanaugh appeared to, at best, mislead senators in his own testimony. It did not matter that, unlike Clarence Thomas who also faced allegations of sexual misconduct, the public thought Kavanaughs accuser was more credible than he was.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) framed the Senates decision simply, days before the final vote: It is about whether or not a woman who has been a victim at some point in her life is to be believed.
The Senate has answered definitively: We do not believe her, not really, and we dont care that the public does.
This is the governing ideology of the Republican Party: We dont care what anybody else thinks. We have the power. We have the will. We have the votes. Well do what we want.
In politics, theres winning the argument, and theres winning the vote. Republicans lost the argument, but they ultimately had the votes. (emphasis mine)

Little did they know I did MY magic spell both on that noght and on 11/8/2016.
Not even my best work and it was enough to singlehandedly make their magic go “poof!”
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) framed the Senates decision simply, days before the final vote: It is about whether or not a woman who has been a victim at some point in her life is to be believed.
Bingo! She was NOT believed, and those who say they DO believe are sexist to think so. There was nothing credible about her, and anyone with a sense of decency and objectivity would have noticed that.
Not to mention her obvious political bias and “activism”
If anyone is to blame here, it’s Fraud and the Democrats and fellators like you.
But then again, I bet you thought the Duke Lacrosse young men were guilty, as well as countless other men who have been unjustly accused and imprisoned for rape, etc.
Satanists being Satanic.
Nah, I don’t really care what they think. The folks uttering unintelligible screeches in the back of the room and dancing around outside the meeting? Nope. Not sure thinking is in their repertoire.

Well, frankly, I really don’t care what a liberal thinks or says. They’ve cried wolf too often. My default position on them is that they are lying, and the burden of proof is on them to show otherwise.
Their ideology is, in fact, “We believe Judge Kavanaugh, and we don’t care if you do or not, that’s how we’re voting.”.
The left always tries to define Conservatives, when they have no idea what conservatism is all about.
In all walks of life, if they don’t get their way, they protest, demonstrate, and riot. In childhood, that’s called a “tantrum”. If tots could write, I guess they’d be grabbing their Crayolas and making signs to carry around, as well...”PARENTS ARE UNFAIR - I WANT MY BINKY”
The best way to handle a tot in tantrum, is to ignore him, or her, and go on about your business. When they see their tactics are not working, they’ll get distracted and move on to something else. Maybe that’s where “Moveon.org” got the idea for their name.?.?
The author is correct in a sense. There was no public opinion poll showing Brett Kavanaugh is the most unpopular person to be elevated to the nations highest court in recent history. So no public opinion poll showing Brett Kavanaugh is the most unpopular person to be elevated to the nations highest court in recent history was going to stop the Republicans as it did not exist.
Yep, I believe the relevant quote is “Elections have consequences.”
“You dont hand matches to an arsonist, and you dont give power to an angry left-wing mob.”

“You dont hand matches to an arsonist, and you dont give power to an angry left-wing mob. Democrats have become too EXTREME and TOO DANGEROUS to govern. Republicans believe in the rule of law - not the rule of the mob. VOTE REPUBLICAN!”
Actually we Republicans do care about what you think, but as you are Democrats once we’ve heard what you think THEN we don’t care.
This punk isn’t even into his 30s yet, but knows so much more about life, credibility, common sense, et al than we do
And a look at his bio tells you what too often we see in today’s “journalists” Spoiled brats who bounce all over the place, job to job, 6 months to a year at each left wing stopping point.
I’ve seen enough of these types to conclude that the “media” and associated websites, etc. find it much easier and cheaper to hire know-nothings, who will just parrot the party line. No investigative skills or curiosity, no thinking on their own, no knowledge of economics, taxes, The Constitution, finance, entrepreneurial skills . . . just cheap, arrogant Millennials who will be fired or pushed on to the next labor camp.
Lost what ‘argument’?
And nope, don't care what they think.
And you are correct, we don't give a flying f*&k what you think, if you think at all.
Piss off, mate.
I “care” what Leftist Scum think, and I despise them for it. May they all Rot in Hell.
1) If they had the votes, they won the argument where it counted.
2) The crazy behavior doesn’t make me enthusiastic about the other side.
3) Besides simply opposing, what is their vision? Do they even have one?
Democrats think?
Could have fooled me.
