Local- and state-level leaders across the country say theyre ready to lash out against Democrats in the midterm elections.
When many conservative women around the country watched Christine Blasey Ford appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week, they didnt find her testimony compelling or convincing, as many liberals did.
They saw a political farce.
Honestly, I dont think I have ever been so angry in all of my adult life, says Ginger Howard, a Republican national committeewoman from Georgia. It brings me to the point of tears, it makes me so angry.
In interviews with roughly a dozen female conservative leaders from as many states, this was the overwhelming sentiment: These women are infuriated with the way the sexual-assault allegations against the Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh have been handled. They are not convinced by Ford or any other woman who has come forward. They resent the implication that all women should support the accusers. And they believe that this scandal will ultimately hurt the cause of women who have been sexually assaulted.
Above all, these women, and the women they know, are ready to lash out against Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections.
Nearly all the women I spoke with are plugged into state- and local-level conservative politics. Their collective, overwhelming sense is that, like Howard, women voters are angry about whats happening to Kavanaugh. Ive got women in my church who were not politically active at all who were incensed with this, says Melody Potter, the chairwoman of the West Virginia Republican Partythe first woman to hold that position, she made sure to point out. In her state, the stakes of the Kavanaugh scandal are immense: Democratic Senator Joe Manchin is fighting for his seat....

I probably do need to get out more in places where people talk. I was with about 40000 others at a pro baseball game last week, but talked only to my wife, dil, and granddaughters. Wife and 30 yr old dil are solidly on Kavenaugh’s side
“Women are not a monolithic bloc.” To Democrats they are - or at least they should be. That’s why Democrats played this card; unite women against Cavanaugh - another Trump-appointed justice on SCOTUS, Trump’s policies and mobilize them for the mid-terms, the result of which will be Democrat control of Congress and the impeachment of Trump.
As Jim Quinn said this morning, “I think they jumped the shark.”
Honestly, I dont think I have ever been so angry in all of my adult life, says Ginger Howard, a Republican national committeewoman from Georgia. It brings me to the point of tears, it makes me so angry.
That’s heartbreaking.
Ginger Howard is only one of millions of Conservative women who have been emotionally assaulted by the Anti-Kavanaugh liberals.
Unfortunately, the scares our victims have suffered will last years and no liberal will be held accountable, as there will be no charges and no trials for those who oppose Kavanaugh.
I would think any R woman that hung in there and voted for Trump will still hang in there. Trump’s campaign was a pretty good bell weather I think. He had many such attacks, and is the type of personality that does not work for the weak minded- yet he was elected and not without the women I think you are referring to.
Not all millennials have bought into the K-12 drivel, even the mainline protestant denomination liberal influences. They have watched and listened, and they see the difference in tone, in content, and in what they observe in the classroom versus what they know to be fact in their communities and their states and nation. The hatred expressed by Progressives of a duly-elected President has not missed their consciousness either.
For the women in my immediate work group, their political understanding begins and ends with “The View”. If BK was accused of raping dead seagulls, they’d just nod their heads and say “I knew it!” However, in the general population, I heard today for the first time in our break room, a political discussion. And while the overall grasp of facts was . . . . .lacking, the general consensus was that Kavanaugh was being railroaded and this was a very bad thing. Whether that turns into anger, and activity at the polls, I really think there’s more support for reality out here than the dems (and probably the Pubbies) take into account.
My wife, Mom and Mother-in-law are furious at the way Kavanagh has been treated. My 19 year old daughter who is in no way political watched Ford at the hearing on TV and said she’s a lying crack head, on some drugs of some sort.
I have one friend who is a leftist and she and I went at it on BookFace a bit, we always do and she couldn’t give a coherant reason to believe her other than she is a woman and must be believed. When I suggested that if some woman in her husbands office decided to lay a rape charge on him with no evidence she would be mad as hell and he would deny it(I know the guy, he is a good guy and would never do such a thing)she would demand justice and due process and me and his other friends would come forward to defend him but if I am to follow her reasoning and the new standard she is demanding, he’s guilty because the woman must be believed regardless of her facts. She finally admitted this all boiled down to abortion in the end.
“Were still stuck with he said/she said with no concrete proof either way....One of them is lying and we may never know ..”
If you believe that woman has any credibility at all you need to do some research. I don’t think anyone actually believes her; certainly nobody with any common sense. The dems are simply pretending to believe her for political purposes.
Oh, we know which one is lying and she has done it repeatedly in sworn testimony.
What is gratifying to me is that around 40% of the younger women I know (usually daughters within families that I have gone to church with since moving to Texas in 2005 or other women that attend the same church I do) see Ford’s scam for what it is...
I do confess to being fairly active on social media (I have been a member of this particular social media prototype since 2000 so Facebook is easy), but I view that as a good thing. It makes sure that I hear some other points of view and gives me a chance to make sure I still have the good ole “I have a question about ________” or “I hear you, but I disagree because _______” chops working.
I do hope you thanked her for her honesty. It happens so infrequently with the left. Some behavioral conditioning couldn’t hurt...
Normal women are repulsed, they Wymen not so much.
I don’t know of anyone who believes any of Ford’s lies and think the demonrats are &$_^(_@%. But I might be biased not associating with libs.
I agree.
Your daughter should rethink her friends.
That is so awesome! *APPLAUSE*
MAGA! :)
Ford’s voice was a tell. She was performing not testifying. I thought it was a really bizarre, inauthentic act that was super inappropriate for a professional women in her 50’s. I was embarrassed for her.
I was WTH, did her lawyers coach her to talk like this?
The Wisconsinites I pal around with are as eager to vote Republican (even if there’s a little nose-holding) on November 6th as they were to vote for President Trump.
