COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — It’s not easy being a Donald Trump supporter in Colorado.
Becky Mizel, a prominent Trump volunteer and former county party chairwoman in the state, was standing at the entrance to the Colorado GOP Convention, waving a slate of delegates the Trump campaign has endorsed to send to the national convention.
With her arm still in the air, she needled a volunteer tasked with setting up Trump signs outside of the arena where the convention is being held, and was upset because they went missing.
“Somebody stole them,” Mizel said under her breath, sounding irritated but unsurprised. The state party convention, she readily admitted, is not really Trump’s crowd — and that’s part of the reason she doesn’t expect much to come from the slate Saturday.
“We know we’re not going to take anything out of (the slate), but it was mostly an emotional shot in the arm for the Trump people who are here because they were feeling demoralized because nothing is here,” she told NBC News.
“Just having a table and signs made them go, ‘Oh, we’re not alone, there’s other Trump people.’ It’s more of a psychological edge,” she said.
Mizel admitted that she would be happy if they take one or two delegates. So far, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has swept all 21 of the state’s delegates already elected at the congressional district level....

I thought feelings didn’t matter to tRump, only winning. Oh, but then the rules are always different for him than for everyone else. No matter which rules. No matter whose feelings. No matter whether the rules are totally followed....if tRump loses, someone “cheated” and “feelings are hurt.”

trump is just unprepared. to be such a brilliant guy, he sure hasn’t figured the delegate process out very well, and the whole “brilliant billionaire” thing is supposed to be his main qualification.

CNN Poll...your really trust them to poll accurately. Actually do any of the poll correctly reflect the opinions of Republican likely voters. A lot of us don’t answer the phone, specifically because we have been the target of push polls in the past.
For while picking up delegates by virtue of unseemly practices, it's costing him votes he will need, but not receive, in the general election.
And all for a person who is ineligible to become the President of the United States. If he actually was eligible, there would be no need for him to seal his records.

Cruz has Trump cold, on this skill. But I do not think it is a skill, we actually want in a leader.

There are no “umseemly practices.” This is the way the game is played and Trump has finally realized it. He is going to start playing catch-up in this same game. He hired the guy who wrangled delegates for Romney and who is closely tied to the odious Roger Stone.
What gimmicks are you talking about? The game is winning delegates and Trump was behind the curve. Trump is now going to try to do the same thing with Romney’s delegate wrangler, Manafort.
All along I thought we were trying to keep our Republic from being destroyed by the Socialist. It seems the GOP is the enemy in the eyes of most of the posters on this forum. Do any of you who hate Cruz or Trump so much, realize the Media is eating this up. This election cycle has become a feeding frenzy, goaded on by Liberals.
A lot of fake conservatives on forums are egging on the hatred and nastiness to bring about one end, the election of either Communist Sanders, or Socialist Clinton. They, along with the fake demonstrators at Trump campaigns, are trying to cause the American voter to view either Sanders or Clinton as the least objectionable choice.
Please take a long studious look at where each candidate has stood in the past, and currently stands on issues, and make you decision based upon objective observation, not emotion, brought about by those who name call and demagogue conservative candidates.
