Donald Trump's shock slide from Republican presidential front-runner to second banana behind Dr. Ben Carson can mean only one thing — the billionaire developer's shot at the GOP nomination is cooked, former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay tells Newsmax TV.
"Trump is on his way out. People have had enough of him, he has no substance, and he's on his way out. That's what I'm seeing," DeLay, a Texas Republican who now hosts a Washington Times radio show, said Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show."
But could Carson, a retired pediatric neurosurgeon who has never been elected to public office, actually grab the Republican nomination? Yes, says, DeLay, as long as he doesn't make the same mistakes as Trump....

In my opinion, Delay sufferred a NET loss of friends in Texas tonight.

Delay has been pretty media chatty lately. He isn’t for Trump, so I can’t appreciate his input.
I want a *real* fighter. There are only two running. One is Hillary, and the other is Trump. If Trump is taken down in this concentrated assault going on by the entire COMPLEX, no one else can withstand it. Except of course for the Establishment choice.
Republicans are for Hillary. They have to take out Trump. I don’t want to let them.
I would tend to trust The Hammer’s political instincts.
