Donald Trump's shock slide from Republican presidential front-runner to second banana behind Dr. Ben Carson can mean only one thing — the billionaire developer's shot at the GOP nomination is cooked, former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay tells Newsmax TV.
"Trump is on his way out. People have had enough of him, he has no substance, and he's on his way out. That's what I'm seeing," DeLay, a Texas Republican who now hosts a Washington Times radio show, said Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show."
But could Carson, a retired pediatric neurosurgeon who has never been elected to public office, actually grab the Republican nomination? Yes, says, DeLay, as long as he doesn't make the same mistakes as Trump....

DeLay needs to find the nearest crapper and sit down for awhile. Who the hell are they polling who want to see another minority in the White House? After eight years of the Black Treasoner-In-Chief? This is insanity.

Ironically, DeLay came to the House as Ron Paul’s second successor, I believe it was. And there’s still a pesky Paul around but no DeLay.
I would think ‘The Scalpel’ a better nickname for Carson.
DeLay is delusional. Even Kraut choked out that Trump did fine tonight and may have done himself some good. Coming from Kraut its like an endorsement. Drudge has up that Trump is winning the CNBC poll with Rubio and Cruz battling it out for 2nd.

Rumors of Trump’s demise are being exaggerated, it seems.
What morons like Tom DeLay don’t understand (or, are purposely forwarding to influence public opinion) is that the few polls of the last week that show Carson passing up Trump, are practically worthless, as polls go.
Small samples, some of which aren’t even of registered Republican voters, MOEs of 7%, etc. It’s all media/GOP-e manipulation designed to knock Trump out of his actual front runner status.
Like every other thing they’ve tried in order to take Trump down, this too will fail. By next week, these fake polls will be a dim memory.
