There is no cure for the Touch of Death, or Dim Mak as it's known in those cheesy martial arts movies..
Legend and comic books tell us that it is a precise and forceful strike, with delayed yet fatal result, sometimes taking days or weeks to do its work.
It is subtle, quick, almost unseen, and usually delivered by a monk or some warrior priest with a top knot. Uma Thurman used it to great effect in "Kill Bill: Vol 2." When she was done, she flashed a smirk of wistful sadness.
That's what happened to Donald Trump's presidential campaign, which received the Touch of Death from Megyn Kelly, the warrior priestess of Fox News....

Luntz is a fat, drooling dork. Who gives a flying one-hander what that cretin has to say. Hey Frank, we had a focus group tonight that decided that you are a fat load. They overwhelmingly recommended that you STFU and mix in a salad occasionally!
Stop right here. I posted earlier on another thread that the meaning associated with the term Trump used went right by me. I've been married 29 years and didn't think once that Trump's "blood in her eyes, whereever" had anything to with Megyn Kelly being on her period. I understood the "blood in her eyes" as meaning she saw blood after "hitting" Trump with her question/accusation during the debate. I really didn't associate anything else with Trump's comment.
What I think is frankly very unbecoming of Trump is this stupid "twitter war."
Megyn Kelly pretty much damn'ed herself during the debate, there was really no need for Trump to engage her further and in doing so only turned himself into the "bad guy."
There's a rule in politics about staying out of your opponents way/not saying anything when your opponent is in trouble. Kelly was already in trouble with Conservatives/Trump Supporters. Trump was frankly too stupid to leave that alone. That says alot about his judgement, IMO.
She's not even a Trump fan, but she thought it was a ridiculous stretch.
As do I. The problem isn't what Trump said (re: "blood in her eyes") the problem IMO is what occurred after. It shows a complete lack of good judgement, IMO.
That’s exactly what this is. Repeat the lie over and over til the sheeple believe it. Think that’s one of Alinskys rules. Or Marx...
Megyn is the new candy crowley.
Boy, have you got the dynamics of this thing completely backwards.
The reason Trump's numbers are in the stratosphere, is because he's fearless, says the things Americans are thinking, and is willing to tell it like it is with no holds barred. In other words, he's on the ATTACK against the enemies of the people, and they're flocking to his side because of it.
The answer to the counter-attacks from the left/media/GOP-e isn't to regroup and tone it down, in hopes they'll leave you alone. WTF? Hell No! You fight back even harder!
As Patton said, "You don't win a war by dying for your country. You win it by making the other bastard die for his country!"
I'm wondering how Hannity's going to handle this with the radio audience on Monday. Betcha he doesn't quit his Fox gig, and finds some way to thread the middle ground.

Spot on analysis.
You're right. Kelly had all but committed professional suicide until Donald came to her rescue. Not a smart move for such a sharp guy as Trump.
That said, he didn't get where he is by being a mental lightweight. There's no doubt in my mind that he's seen his error, and that he'll quickly learn from it.
I didnt know that a news person was supposed to be administering death blows to ANY presidential candidates.
This would be a good take for Trump to use. Even just to ask why media heads try to “take down” particular candidates, rather than help America hear all of their positions.
Do the media jerks think Candy Crowley was some kind of HERO?
Frank Luntz said he is already dead. What gives?

In frank’s best dreams his hair is like the Donald’s
Hannity is still the brightest spot on Fox, he will do what he has to do and still support Trump I am guessing.
Mind you she did bump him from 9 to 10 which I hated, now Hannity is never on live. Perhaps he likes that, tape the show early and go home.
Not fair using facts to counter these jerks! /MSM think
If Trump had used his head in that debate, he could have done megyn in and raised his poll numbers again.
He has to be smarter than he was Thursday night. He could have answered her by insulting her questions and been polite about it.. half way anyway. All he had to do was to make her look foolish for trying... but he went personal and showed no class.
He joined her in the ditch and now they are circling the wagons around her.. He is left to get out of it as best he can. Just don’t go there in the first place, Donald!
He’ll have to fumigate it first. I think Donald owns companies that do both :-)
Ha ha ha!
This war on women. They are going to get a ton of mileage out of this. She could NOT care less whether you or anyone else think she should go to hell because she got the reaction she wanted from Trump.

Exactly. It’s past time to go full Alinsky on the Left. That includes the GOPe.
I love that movie. Nosferatu would be no match for Trump, though:)
Did they finally release the post debate poll numbers? Have had company visiting and missed it.
Yes, the Drudge post-debate poll was the most watched. I can't find the final results, but here's a link to an archived page that'll give you a flavor for what the country thought of the participants:
http://www.drudgereportarchives.com/data/2015/08/07/20150807_021847.htm
There was also a Time poll that closely mirrored the results of the one on Drudge, but I don't have a link for it.
In the end, they just keep Trump more coverage and exposure.
