While Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton are bringing in a sizeable number of donations of under $100, Republicans have been going for the big money, like the huge score Ted Cruz just made from a pair of Texas frackers.
Even so, on July 16, Newsmax made a big deal of Hillary receiving donations from wealthy individuals, with the headline, Hillary Clintons Donations From Hedge Fund Titans Exceed Republicans.
Those Democrats are such elitists! You dont want to be drinking milk when you read these things, at least not without a bib.
And here the Texas Messiah, Ted Cruz, just hauled in $15 million in a single donation from a pair of yes Texas brothers. CNN reports that it amounts to the largest known donation so far in the 2016 presidential campaign.
Well. Bernie gets the people. Cruz gets the dollars.
Contrast that with Sanders. As of the beginning of July, Sanders had 400,000 donations from about 250,000 donors, with an average donation of $33.51. Only 1 percent of those donations an almost exact reversal of the elite group the GOP supports were of more than $250.
The donation to Cruzs Keep the Promise super PAC comes from a pair of fracking profiteers, Farris and Dan Wilks, so its not money any Democrat would want in any case. After all, you cant drink $15 billion. You need clean water for that, and you wont get that anywhere near a fracking site.
The Wilks brothers have, like Ted Cruz, failed to read the United States Constitution. According to CNN, Farris Wilks revealed that,
"Our country was founded on the idea that our rights come from the Creator, not the government. Im afraid were losing that. Unless we elect a principled conservative leader ready to stand up for our values, well look back on what once was the land of opportunity and pass on a less prosperous nation to our children and grandchildren. Thats why we need Ted Cruz."
Actually, the country was founded on the principle that political power derives not from God, or Gods anointed (like Old World kings) but from the people. The Creator many of the Founding Fathers spoke of was not the Christian God of the Bible.
It goes without saying that Farris Wilks is a pastor. If you could find a Republican pastor who has read the Constitution, it would be a genuine biblical miracle.
On the other hand, thats just the kind of support you would expect to see a would-be messiah like Ted Cruz receiving. They stack it high in Texas.

The Democrats won’t take money from anyone who drills for oil, but they have no problem taking donations from Planned Parenthood and all their money they got from harvesting body parts from aborted babies.
Ya knew this was going to happen when it was announced yesterday the brothers sent Cruz the check.
Fred, that’s some freaky shit.
My comments are often imperfect. I think fast and I write fast and it is incombant on those who read my shit to figure out what the hell I’m talking about.
Mostly obvious, but for God’s sake spare me grammerical/puncuational insults.
They are America first.
Frack you, Hraffie baby!
Leni
I have no problem with two brothers of wealth putting their money where their values are.
It was a Zappa reference (Joe’s Garage) made in jest.
Love the Tele - own one of the best - my workhorse.
Tobaco Burst American with pro leveled frets. Can bend anywhere - no wash out.
Oops. Missed it entirely ;)
I always wanted a tele. I’m a Charvel guy but I could use some single coil love. Not ‘well’...but I could use it ;)
Those two brothers owned land in Texas and oil was found there, so they became billionaires. Owning land is not against the law in Texas and it’s not against the law for oil to be on that land. This country needs oil to run itself so that oil is being extracted for the good of the country. Potable water is not polluted by fracking and I know this due to being a friend of an engineer who sits on those fracking wells for Brown & Root. He has given me detailed information as to how those wells are drilled and the depth they are drilled and the science/physics of it so the water table is not affected by these wells. That engineer is a liberal so there is no way he would tell me the water table is not affected if it were not true. Being a liberal, he would be yelling his lungs out if a well disturbed the water table. He believes in global warming for goodness sake.
Whoever wrote this article is a fruit cake.
I sent Cruz money and I’m not a billionaire. I’m sure lots of you have also sent Cruz money and you aren’t a billionaire, either. We should all be offended by this writer for not giving us credit for the money we sent. A pox on this writer.
“TEDCRUZSOLDHISSOULFOR $145!!!!!”
Cool it, Norm, and read my post 50. :o)
Hrafnkell Haraldsson.....it sounds like a kind of VD a guy could catch from a hooker in Stockholm.
This article reads like it was written by a petulant little girl, like pajama boy..
Fracking = Jobs for Americans
No matter what Ted Gruz does a liberal will scream bloody murder. If he went to the bathroom, They’d trot out Cheryl Crow to berate him for using more than one square of Toilet paper. If he took an asprin, they’ll scream about his support for Big Pharma. If he choked to death and died they’d complain that he improperly used medical personnel.
The best thing to do is mock them mercilessly.
Our future donations to DT will be Zero. He doesn’t need it!!
Drill, baby, drill!!
Oil makes the world go ‘round.
Go, Cruz, GO!!
Exactly.
Also, you have to buy into the idea that fracking is demonic for this to make even a shred of sense.
Let me see ...... fracking or selling the organs of aborted babies ..... which candidate has sold his/her soul????
As I understand, they sold off their fracking business a while back. I guess that makes them former frackers.
Once you frack, you never go back?
