If you had to vote in your state primary/caucus today, knowing what you know now about the various declared and probable candidates, who would you vote for? Why? Who would you like to see as the running mate for your preferred candidate? If you could help staff your candidates cabinet and other top appointments, who would you choose? If you could recommend different congressional leaders than we have now, who would they be? And who would you like to see on the Supreme Court and why? And finally, feel free to donate to Free Republic.

TED CRUZ
This shouldn’t even be a contest. Anybody that understands what it’s going to take to turn this country around and to reestablish the conservative principles that have worked over and over again should realize that Ted Cruz is by far the best man for the job. It’s not even close.
This is the next Reagan we’ve been waiting for. He could even be greater than Reagan if he actually gets in.
Don’t settle for imitations, get the real deal, go CRUZ!

TRUMP
He doesn’t back down.
Walker is my governor. He’s been trumped by Trump. I still like Walker of course.

Prez: Cruz, without a doubt.
VP: Somebody young, not from Texas, rather preferably from a swing state, ideally not white or male (for election's sake), but someone we can all affirm and attest to that holds compatible values and convictions as Ted (as Bush did to Reagan). Is there such a candidate out there? Jindal?

If the primary were today, I wouldn’t vote. If it were tomorrow, I wouldn’t vote. If it were next week, I would still not vote.
Electoral politics is a sucker’s game. Even moreso in Virginia, where we have sanitized ballots to ensure that only the candidates fully vetted by the gop-e are on the ballot. Last time our choices were willard and paul. This time it will no doubt be limited to jebito. I choose not to waste my time playing “pick your oligarch.”
The politicians are a cancer. What we need is chemo, not a choice between lymphoma and leukemia.

1. Cruz: belief system, legal acumen, intelligence 2. Trump: boldness, financial independence, 3. Fiorini: non-politician, business success, female I've got no real problem with any of that....other than I would add boldness to Cruz as well....even though he doesn't have the "bluster" of Trump when he's bold. But they're both bold. So is Carly BTW.

A list: Cruz, Walker. I'd add Trump, but don't trust him yet (past statements and affinity), but I'm still watching. It's hard to not love how he's shaken up the libs on all sides. B list (acceptable): Jindal, Carson, Fiorina, could almost handle Perry, but would have to drink a quart of Jack before pulling the lever) U(nacceptable) list: Jeb, Chrispy, Rubio (I almost put him next to Perry, almost.....but would need two quarts of Jack), Kasich, Huckaphony; Santorum; and a few I can't remember...... W(ild card): Trump. Dang it, he's made it fun lately! In the weirdest of ways, I can't wait to hear the debates start and see how Jeb and others handle the Donald. I am hoping he does a TKO on Jeb and Crispy, am looking forward to how intimidating he will be. I really don't think the race will solidify until just before the first primaries, and then it's going to be a mad hatter's ball at least through Floriduh. You made some hilarious comments in there...but I think I pretty much agree with 99% of it!

Ted Cruz, no second choice, VP should be someone with the same philosophy and vision. That choice better made by Cruz than me.

Trump followed by Cruz.
Scenario one: Trump is president for 2 terms followed by VP Cruz for another 2 terms for 16 years.
Scenario two: Trump is president for 6 years then back to big business where he turns over the reigns to Cruz for the last 2 years, which is followed by 8 years for a total of 10 years for Cruz as President. :-)
Scenario three: Trump goes back to his business Empire after 6 years. His current VP has resigned before Trump where Trump brings in Cruz as his new VP from the Senate where he covered the backside of Trump’s presidency. Result: Cruz again is President for 10 years.
The leftist and their Moonbats move to Jupiter during their reigns. :-)
