If you had to vote in your state primary/caucus today, knowing what you know now about the various declared and probable candidates, who would you vote for? Why? Who would you like to see as the running mate for your preferred candidate? If you could help staff your candidates cabinet and other top appointments, who would you choose? If you could recommend different congressional leaders than we have now, who would they be? And who would you like to see on the Supreme Court and why? And finally, feel free to donate to Free Republic.
Cruz/Palin
Trump/Walker
“Ted Cruz. I will leave the rest up to him.”
That got me thinking - who would he pick? It wouldn’t surprise me if it was someone relatively unknown. But I think they would need some experience in government.
For some reason I thought of Michelle Bachmann (MN).
You know, that’s not a bad choice.
I’m a Cruz backer right now. But in the end, I’m voting for whomever Norm is voting for:)
Trump, ... must have a candidate who can beat Hilliary or Sanders.
Cruz if he starts to show he can win the WH. He needs to start pushing the issues like trump is, not just agree with Trump on what Trump is pushing.
There is lots of time yet and lots can change but as of right I believe Trump can win election and Cruz cannot, and that is what counts because a candidate with all the right positions who can’t win means nothing when it results in a President Hilliary Clinton.
The rest of them are losers and or rhinos.
Ted Cruz has been “pushing” issues, you just didn’t hear about it due to the enemedia and the fact that Don Trump has a much larger megaphone than any conventional candidate.
Search here at FR and you’ll see.
I been listening and he is not pushing the issues like Trump. This is war not a civilized debate event.
Bottom line Cruz does not have the numbers, that may change but outside of real conservatives for votes, he comes up short of winning a general election.
I will reevaluate as things change.
Hilliary must not get in WH, that is my main focus.
The only political office Trump is interested in is President. If he doesn’t get that, he’ll go back to running his business.
Cruz super PAC’s plan to win presidency

Yep. But it does not account for how far left voters have moved in last decade. As painful as it is to accept a pure conservative cannot win, to polarized with everyone left of hard core conservatives. Maybe world war will break out, then Cruz might win. Cruz is doing 4% and evangelicals are not going to carry him to victory. If I am proved wrong. great!
If not that he's so perfect for President, Cruz would make a great SCOTUS member.
Trump / Cruz. Kill political correctness in the first 4 years, and Cruz governs and leads in the way our founders envisioned for 8.
Cruz/Trump. Why? Brains and Bucks.... Unbeatable combo.
Cruz/Fiorina Why? She’s tough and not afraid to take-on Hillary. She would neuter the “Dems War on Women”
Walker/Martinez Why? Gov. Susana Martinez of NM = Conservative Hispanic / female. President Walker nominates Ted Cruz for Supreme Court.
Louie Gohmeret (R-TX) Speaker of the House
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) Senate Majority Leader (I know he’s a Freshman Senator, but, who shives a git?)
Walker for Prez.
Cruz for Supreme Court.
Right now Trump/Cruz.
No way would Trump accept the VP slot (not his style, and especially if he’s going to bankroll the campaign himself) and Ted’s still a young man and can afford to wait. In 8 years he’ll be only 52.
In 8 years, the Republic will be toast.
