Is that anything like being a member of the Choom Gang smoking dope all the time, bogarting the joint?

The Media thought that was 'kewl' and hip and modern -- because it was a Democrat.

What are you, racist?! How dare you want to know anything about the first black president!

The fact that he’s black makes him qualified to be president alone!!! Disagree? YER a racist then!

I’m withholding judgement until I know what kind of beer was in the car. If it was cheap American swill his judgement must be questioned. If it was Guinness it will not affect my opinion of him and if it was a craft porter, stout, double or triple bach then his judgement is confirmed to be superior.

I'll cut him some slack regardless. I remember the swill beer I used to drink at that age. If you recycled the beer, it wouldn't taste any worse the second time.

The world is coming to an end because Ted Cruz drank beer as a high schooler.

He wasn't even charged with drinking beer. He was charged with having unopened beer in his car.

Recall, too, how the media snickered and thought it was 'kewl' that another former president didn't inhale during a youthful discretion.

one "guilty plea for minor in possession of alcohol."

I'd be suspicious of a candidate who didn't ever possess alcohol as a minor.

We know the progressive anti-Americans are trying to find something to stop the surge of conservative voters who will support a true conservative like Ted, so look for some manufactured lies soon, if this beer charge is all they could find! The scum of the earth now rules America ...

It will be a MUCH shorter list, if we just list the people who have NOT had a case of beer in their vehicle (at some point in time) while they were seniors in high school!!

Well, that settles it! Mr. Cruz' 'drinking problem' means I won't be voting for him! Of course, being a citizen of Canada also prevents my voting for him, as opposed to a _resident of the United States, though that has not stopped someone else we know.</sarc>

If this is the worst dirt that the Houston Colonic can find from digging back 28 years, then Cruz WOULD get my vote, if I were an American citizen. AFA the Houston Colonic, I hope it makes a good lining for a bird cage because AFA content, it rivals that which would land on the paper used as lining in that cage.

If that's the worst they can dig up, he already has the presidency.

Accdg to the article, the case was UNOPENED.

Cruz got a ticket.

==

Was he allowed to continue transporting the unopened case or was it confiscated? The article doesn’t say.

If he was allowed to continue transporting it, why? That seemed to be illegal.

If it was confiscated, what did the confiscating officer do with it? Put it in the evidence locker or share it with his buddies after shift?

The media needs to fully investigate this and the aftermath.

Your point is well taken. We still do not why he was in possession of the beer. Was for his own consumption? Was he just driving the vehicle and his father had failed to take the beer into the house, or was he feeding it to feral pigs to help remove the infestation. I also must give him a pass if it was his first encounter with cheap American Swill, he being young and gullible might have been deceived by the ads during football games and had not yet sampled the abomination. It is also quite possible that he had been deprived of an excellent craft beer all his life and he was unaware that God made the world so that beer would taste good. Hopefully now that he a grown man, he has acquired taste to accompany his values of honesty and liberty.
