Any way I could get a stiff scotch today? I just picked up Baby Girl's remains from the kennel. (sigh)
To: SheLion
That's all right, She.
Business hasn't been to brisk today.
To: RikaStrom

One stiff scotch. It's on the house, Rika.
Sorry to hear about the loss.
To: RikaStrom
Oh, Rika-I am so sorry. That is such a difficult thing...let me pay for your drink as a sympathy offering...

Hi, Joe-can I please have a Miller Lite? And please put Rika's scotch on my bill. It is so hard to lose a beloved companion, no matter their age-We still miss our 17 year old Chow, and he has been gone over two years.
I have not been around much, as my crew and I are doing the last painting, trimming and sealing on the new house, and I have started taking up boxes of items that are not used every day. I have mixed feelings, though-I have owned this house for 25 years, and lived in it for the greater part of that time. It is hard to leave.

You could always print the picture on my FR home page and take it with you to set up in the bar.

Thanks, Joe, I need a little down time. Late last week, one of my new next door neighbors, who has been decidedly unfriendly ever since we started building came over and accused my crew of backing a truck over one of his sprinklers (which was knocked down by a garbage truck-I saw it). He was being a real as**ole, and told me he would just sell the place, and I said "Thank God-Make my day!" He put it on the market, using our much bigger house next door to ask an outrageous price that he should be ashamed of. Three people came to look at it today while we were putting up tile and wood trim. As soon as they ditched their respective realtors, they came trooping over to ask if they could see our house, even after I told them it was my personal home, and not for sale. My neighbor didn't even get a bite on his overpriced house, but I showed my house three times, got two customers who want me to build them a house, and a re-roofing job for my roofing contractor. Not bad for a day's work, huh? And a realtor unintentionally brought them right to me-oh yeah, come to mama.....

"How do you say in Italian, Hi my name is Jan. Now come over here and sit on mama's lap"
To: SheLion
Jeez, She-you're going to smother in that sheet. How about cat woman, or a witch, or (my alter ego) a dominatrix outfit? I was wearing that one when I was introduced to my hubby, but that is another story.......

Thanks you two.
I thought I was doing fairly well until they handed me the box.
I'm going to have to do a visit to the local pound in a couple of weeks. The house is entirely to quiet.
To: Just another Joe
I haven't seen that commercial-but you are too bad.
