I would like to take this opportunity to stray from the normal topic of our Thread Intro and do something special this weekend.

Here I stand between one world and another. Bags all packed, ready to go, but still here for a couple of days. I have to admit. I like transitions. They always seem like new beginnings, and beginnings are so full of promise.

Thank you ... I've identified the fact that I am in a place and time where some tough decisions need to be made ... which may bring about transitions ... and I have never thought of transitions in the way you have just described ... well, after givin' me a *gift* ... you are.

Yes, I have 2 weeks training overseas coming up. It should be a nice trip. My company will pay my salary for those two weeks, as well as getting to keep my military pay. I'll make up some of what I've lost on the $$ front in the last 6 weeks.
Thank you for your prayers. It has been a challenge, keeping up with the kids, but I cheat, so that helps. grin!

Just got done watching
To Kill a Mockingbird with Gregory Peck. Very good movie. If I hadn't already changed my name, I might have gone with Atticus Finch.
Could use prayers for tomorrow. There's a chance that there's a job opening at another school about half the distance as the one at Vanderbilt. I'm going to try to arrange something tomorrow to meet with them, but if I can't meet tomorrow, I'll have to go with the one at Vandy as they need an answer. Thanks.
