Gerwig cites the “Life on Mars” singer and a number of other ’60s and ’70s rock musicians as key creative influences that helped her form the “big and transporting” aesthetic of the film, which she wanted to resemble a “rock opera” despite not being a musical.

I dunno, Christopher Nolan has taught me that no one ever went broke underestimating the tastes of the public.
Meryl Streep is a great actress, but Aslan is MALE, so she’s not appropriate for the role!
And casting that Black African as Helen of Troy was inappropriate, too!

Liam Neeson is getting old and probably couldn’t stop them.
If it’s a female lion they’ll have to lose the mane. Unless of course it’s a trans lion identifying as you know whatever. You can’t despise these people enough.
