President Trump touted progress on the White House ballroom project on Saturday morning, a day after the Supreme Court temporarily permitted construction work to continue.
“Tremendous work has been done on the magnificent BALLROOM/MILITARY COMPLEX being built on the grounds of the White House!” the president wrote on Truth Social, alongside a photo of the construction site.
The ballroom project has faced a series of litigation and public scrutiny over reports that the Trump administration planned to use money appropriated by Congress to other agencies.
Trump had previously told reporters that private donors would cover the $400 million construction project entirely. This number later grew to $600 million, according to records reported on by The Washington Post.
Contractor records from March of 2025 showed officials planned to use only $293 million from private donations, while the rest would be pooled from taxpayer-funded budgets at agencies like the U.S. Secret Service and the White House Military Office.
The president repeated his claims that the project was “under budget” and “ahead of schedule” in his Saturday post.
“The Ballroom will be paid for with ZERO Dollars of Taxpayer Money,” he continued. “Great American Patriots and Companies are footing the entire bill.”

But Dems still cry “It’s a waste of money! He could have built an abortion clinic instead!”.
He will leave quite a legacy....beyond our wildest dreams. When I saw that waterfall cascading down the steps...it was just amazing.
The media always glosses over the fact that the ballroom is being paid for by donations and the military complex is paid for by the taxpayers. Not a hard concept. But the media likes to present this as Trump breaking a promise and soaking the taxpayers for his ballroom.
“When I saw that waterfall cascading down the steps...it was just amazing.”
Can you please tell me what you’re referring to?
For his last act, he needs to convert the James Brady “Press” Room into a swimming pool...
Don’t use the left’s vocabularly. It not just for formal balls — it’s actually a more secure and useful “events center” to replace hotels where assassins can shoot their was in.
Meridian Hill Park Waterfall. You can google and lotsa pictures.
Communists at the Hill cannot comprehend private donations not coming from China.
(It’s actually a more secure and useful “events center” to replace hotels where assassins can shoot their was in.)
How many D.C. event centers are owned by liberals?
I am seriously worried the next democratic president might actually tear it down. As unbelievable as that seems
I’ve been trying to think of a more appropriate name...it is NOT a ballroom...you are absolutely right.
And, Black America has no balls
I hope there is NEVER a “next DIMocRAT” President.
unless Trump decides to actually fight to win in Iran, there most certainly will be
I’d quadruple the number of workers and git er done before the idiots in black robes can stop it.
“The Media” was downsized to it’s core base of idiot liberal ‘elites’ who had ins with corrupt enemies of our country - the people who paid for stories, worked with commies and had zero regard for the safety of the United States.

From Google.
I hope it finishes under budget, but I remember a guy where I used to work saying that he could lead any of our projects to the 85% level and be ahead of schedule and under budget. My memory is that the last bit before completion was always harder than we thought it would be.
I’ve heard it said that the last 10% of the project takes 50% of the time and 50% of the budget.
