JUST IN: Trump Shares Reflecting Pool Court Filing With Interviews From National Park Employees who Witnessed David Hearn 'Violently' Ripping Sealant Out
The Gateway Pundit ^ | August 9, 2026 | Jordan Conradson

President Trump on Sunday blasted former Olympian David Hearn, labeling him "ActBlue," and shared a screenshot from court filings that reveal the mountain of evidence, including witnesses and photo evidence, that the Department of Justice had when they dropped his case for vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, the Justice Department dropped vandalism charges against Hearn. US Attorney Jeanine Pirro, who previously accused Hearn of “violently and forcefully” ripping up the sealant, claimed that “flawed installation by the contractor” was responsible for the damage. Trump slammed Pirro during an Oval Office press conference on Monday, saying she "choked." Trump added, "I was disappointed with Jeanine Pirro, really disappointed with Jeanine Pirro. She folded like an umbrella, and people get away with things, and it’s a disgrace."

After meeting with Pirro at the White House, Trump said to reporters, "I told her I was not happy." He further said he hadn't "made a determination" on whether or not he'll fire Pirro over the debacle.

WATCH:

Then on Friday, Trump called on Pirro to refile the indictment against David Hearn, calling her decision to drop charges "hastily made."

Trump continued his campaign to indict Hearn on Sunday, sharing a screenshot from the government's motion to dismiss Hearn's indictment, dated July 31, 2026, where prosecutors detail interviews with National Park employees who reported that Hearn was arrested after he "started to 'violently' rip and tug at a large portion of the blue pool coating."

The portion Trump shared reads,

"Further investigation by the government included interviews with two National Park Service ("NPS") employees, W-1 and W-2, who were both engaged in cleaning the interior of the Reflecting Pool. The defendant approached the area where they were working. W-1 stated they observed the defendant using his cellular telephone to take what the NPS employee believed to be video or a photograph(s) of the damage to the reflecting pool. The NPS employee, W-1, stated that the defendant then knelt, placed both hands into the reflecting pool-below the surface of the water-and started to "violently" rip and tug at a large portion of the blue pool coating. The NPS employee, W-1, asked the second NPS employee, W-2, to contact police and requested that the defendant not touch or rip at the coating. The defendant told W-1, that the NPS personnel were "awfully sensitive about the pool" and he continued to tug at the coating until National Guard soldiers arrived."

The filing further notes that "A third NPS employee, W-3, took a photograph of the area where the defendant was seen pulling the lining prior to the incident involving the defendant. Metadata associated with the photo indicates that it was captured at 2:55 PM on July 19, 2026, shortly before W-1 and W-2 observed the defendant aggressively pulling and further damaging this compromised area of the Reflecting Pool."

Get her out now, while the getting is good. Put in Harriet M. Hageman.

Rudy G used the broken window approach to help fix New York city.

Have to stop the miscreants from wrecking all the nice things we have built

“What was she thinking?”

she was thinking, “I can’t win this case in DC.”

Exactly. But we live in an “either or world” now. Sometimes it can be neither or both just as you posted.

There should be video of whoever messed with the grass. But maybe not.

She didn’t undermine him. She was doing the job as a prosecutor and she knows what is needed for burden of proof.

Trump does not have a legal background.

Really? You’ve seen the evidence?

Yes, it's in this story. You can see the photographs and reliable eyewitness testimony that Pirro saw. We should also see video soon.

“Trump has better things to be focusing on...”

Trump sees this as a personal attack on his decision making. I don’t have a clue why Pierro dropped the charges, but something ain’t cool with it.

LOL. The U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia is not a position any person with an ounce of ambition would ever want to occupy. It’s like being named U.S. ambassador to Gaza.

"violently" rip and tug at a large portion of the blue pool coating

Was this portion of the blue pool coating already floating in the reflecting pool? Also, PresidentTrump said before there is evidence of someone going into the reflecting pool with a knife or razor and cutting a 300-to-350-foot gash into its liner. Where's that evidence?

If I was a defense lawyer the first video I’d show the jury if of the President’s motorcade driving down the center of the reflecting pool. I love POTUS Trump but this seems like a go nowhere issue. I’m sorry he got his feelings hurt.

Anti-Americans cannot be excused for destroying government property. He is one of many who attempted to destroy what was fixed in Washington D.C. this summer.

One only has to see what is happening in Madison, WI; Seattle, Portland, OR, Los Angeles, CA.

Their hate towards MAGA knows no bounds and must be stopped.

We the People demand it. We’re paying the bills.

——and started to “violently” rip and tug at a large portion of the blue pool coating——

The fact he was able to rip and tug the coating results from a loose edge that resulted from faulty installation. Properly installed, the coating would have no loose edges that could be ripped or tugged.

For the record, if the surface prep was inadequate, even with an epoxy coating, the edge dould have released or never stuck and provided a surface to be ripped and tugged

The coating is delicate and can be ripped by anyone setting out to do so. It has nothing to do with the installation.

Not a very informed take on the situation. The question you should be asking is whRighty is the President of the United States involving himself in a trivial matter such as this? It should be alarming that the President is obsessed with this reflecting pool case. Trump has better things to be focusing on, like getting us out of this ridiculous war we are in, doing something or anything to address the affordability issue, deporting illegals, and maybe trying to keep a few of the many promises he has broken.

Right, and the answer to that question is that Trump has a severe narcissistic personality disorder. I supported him and donated to him, but I have also followed his career since the 80s, and know this to be true. I have faith that US Attorney Jeanine Pirro is doing her job as well as she can while dealing with the Leftist judges in the DC Swamp Circuit, who will be hostile to all things Trump. The more he publicly declares this case important to him, the more activist those judges we become. Trump should respect that she is doing the job as well as she can, but he isn't.

You may be correct, I don’t know.

Do you know what the coating actually was?

There’s another coating that is used widely around here that has tiny pebble-like stones embedded in it an dit’s quite beautiful.

Another coating company does pictures!................
