Two-thirds of Americans believe the war in Iran has not been worth fighting.
A new AP-NORC poll found that roughly two-thirds of U.S. adults say the war that began Feb. 28 is not worthwhile. The sentiment is shared by the vast majority of Democrats (87%) and independents (68%), as well as 37% of Republicans.
The AP-NORC poll, conducted July 23-27, surveyed 1,165 adults and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points.

I’d like to think if Biden was conducting this war I would not publicly denounce it. The troops always have my support no matter who the POTUS is at the time. Can you Explain why these TDS helpers of terrorist states feel the need to post what is IMO cyber treason?

The amount above is largely the DoD marginal cost of intervention in Iraq and Afghanistan. Without using a ruler, I eyeball the increased costs at about $2 trillion. I say largely because GWB Jr. also supported other military budget increases.
That $2 trillion excludes VA costs for disabled veterans and the loss of likely earned income.
But he said "EIGHT TRILLION DOLLARS". Other people said something similar.
What matters financially is the marginal cost.
Soldiers still draw pay and medical benefits while in the USA. They also build up retirement rights while in the USA.
Weapons depreciate because technology changes. B-29s and F-4s have been retired.
Honestly, I don't even think Trump was swayed by them. He simply thought this was going to be another Venezuela and over with in a week.
And as his dearly departed good buddy Lindsey Graham pointed out in a yet-to-be-released documentary, "Trump loves blowing stuff up."

Agreed, I cite his repeated statement that this operation would take “4 to 6 weeks, maybe less”. We are now on “4 to 6 months, maybe more” with no end in sight.
If he held a formal press conference focused on the Iran problem the media would have to carry it because their own reporters are there. But I get your point. The media is never going to fairly cover him, or any Republican (at any level) for that matter.

Idiots! Averting nuclear war was certainly worth it.
The American people were grumbling about the Pacific War in 1945 and would never have tolerated the planned invasion of Japan. “Focus point” or not. The losses to American military forces would have approached the horrific losses suffered(often in a single week of battle!)by the totalitarian Soviets in WWII.
Americans will never again commit to an extended, all-out war unless it’s a foreign invasion or civil war. And I’m not too sure about that.
We need the world to buy oil from us in order to keep the doors open. It’s worth it in that regard.

How out of touch can you be? Trump gave his State of the Union address this year on February 24. He bragged about low gas prices. This is a direct quote from the speech:
"Gasoline, which reached a peak of over $6 a gallon in some states under my predecessor — it was quite honestly a disaster — is now below $2.30 a gallon in most states. And in some places, $1.99 a gallon. And when I visited the great state of Iowa just a few weeks ago, I even saw $1.85 a gallon for gasoline."
Then of course four days later he launched a war which has has the current national average for a gallon of gas at $4.10.
Very rarely is it this crystal clear whose fault gas prices are. You can scream about Biden refusing to drill ANWR or whatever till the cows come home, this is something even the most apathetic, low information voter out there can tell: The policy that led to the higher gas prices (Iran War) and whose bright idea it was (Trump).
