New Details on Karmelo Anthony's Knife Obliterate Woke Dem's 'Not a Deadly Weapon' Narrative
Red State ^ | June 11, 2026 | Sister Toldjah

On Wednesday, we reported on some insane, racially inflammatory comments Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett (TX-30) made in the aftermath of the guilty verdict that was reached this week in the murder case of Karmelo Anthony, who admittedly stabbed fellow 17-year-old high school student Austin Metcalf to death in April 2025.

Anthony's defenders have made this case about race right from the start. Anthony is black; Metcalf was white. Anthony has contended that he had a right to self-defense after Metcalf allegedly pushed him during a heated exchange under Metcalf's high school's tent during a track meet, where Anthony was asked more than once to leave, according to witnesses.

Not surprisingly, Crockett not only took Anthony's side in portraying him as the true victim, but she actually suggested during a Tuesday podcast that the multi-tool knife used in the killing was "small," while pressing her fingers close together to make it look like the blade was about an inch long, as someone else could be heard comparing it to a Swiss Army knife. "I would argue the size of it alone, you wouldn’t even think it’s a deadly weapon," Crockett went on to claim.

For those who missed it, watch:

Considering the racially charged, heightened tensions in the Collin County community since the verdict was handed down, it was a time for people in positions of power and/or influence to try to lower the temperature, not to fan the flames by proving you don't know anything at all about the case except the races of the victim and his convicted killer.

In an update to this story, we're learning more about the type of knife used in the attack, courtesy of the Collin County District Attorney's office:

The knife Karmelo Anthony used to kill Austin Metcalf was a Walmart multi-tool with a serrated blade – and it sells for just $13.

Anthony’s knife came from the Walmart camping brand “Ozark Trail,” and had a 3.5-inch blade, the Collin County District attorney.

It is a 6-in-1 multitool equipped with a flashlight and glass breaker, and is “ideal for someone who hunts, camps or who travels often,” according to the Walmart listing.

At the trial, the medical examiner stated "that Metcalf was stabbed through the heart." Further, "She described the wound as gaping, two-and-a-half inches in length, and not survivable."

Here's a photo of the type of knife Anthony used:

One X user who has that type of knife provided a video demonstration of what all it does. It has a "big a** f***king blade that locks. It's a knife. It'll kill you," he noted:

To be clear, a knife of any size can seriously injure or kill someone, so Crockett's point was stupid and dangerously irresponsible, no matter how you look at it. But it is worth pointing out for the record what the size of this knife actually was to counter her idiotic falsehood that it was only about an inch long.

"That is a serious fighting knife" No, it isn't. I have a dozen EDC knives that would be closer to a fighting knife, and I use them for opening letters or cutting sheetrock. Thumbstud to open. Probably a liner lock.

"Ozark Trail 7-in-1 Stainless Steel Multitool Knife with Screwdriver 7-in-1 tool includes a knife, screwdriver, fire starter, glass breaker, cord cutter, bottle opener, and a light Durable stainless steel construction"

4 inch blade: "0.83 x 3.94 x 10.63 in"

“According to Texas Penal Code § 9.32, deadly force is only justified if you reasonably believe it is immediately necessary to protect yourself against death or serious bodily injury.”

There was never any proof that Austin Metcalf accomplished an act of an effort to serious bodily injury. Anthony’s defense team claimed he was defending himself after Metcalf initiated physical contact, as detailed by Yahoo News and a Facebook post from WBRC. But it never met the standard of an attempt to serious bodily injury.

If a common box cutter could cause the deaths of 2500 people on 9-11-2001 I would say it was a dangerous weapon.

Jasmine is a groupthink mindguard for the communists.

Her lies are meant to be believed by the retards in the black community so they don’t reconsider their assumtions and approved beliefs and god forbid vote Republican.

That’s it. You are not her audience. ...and there is some debate whether retarded blacks is redundant.

It has a nob on the blade on it to assist with opening - you can use your thumb to flick it open with ease, in a blink.

Serious fighting knives, i.e. knives designed primarily for fighting have a quillon or cross-guard that prevents the holder's hand from sliding forward when the blade is thrust into a target. I did hear one source that said karmelo did cut his hand when he stabbed Austin's chest, and looking at the knife it easy to see how that happened.

“WHY do you need a knife at a school sporting event?”

I carry a pocket knife almost everywhere.

What’s “need” got to do with it?

In other circumstances, some on this forum would say “Shall not be infringed.”

The knife didn’t kill him, Karmelo did. And that’s all that matters in the end.

Jasmine Crockett has released the following statement through her spokeswoman Miss Emily Litella.

"Oh. Well. That's very different. Never mind."

A human being should always have a knife and a way to make fire.

There is a history of attacks on school grounds by kids. Hence the need for these policies. These are not adults with impulse controls tempered through maturity.

In recent years, incidents like the Columbine High School massacre in Colorado and the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida (among many others) have spotlighted the urgent issue of school violence. These incidents highlighted the presence of weapons in educational settings as a major issue. These tragic events propelled the U.S. Department of Education to reassess policies. School boards and state governments also readdressed policies on school violence. These laws strengthened policies on school discipline and maintaining school safety. A key focus has been improving the school climate. This promotes safety. These two factors are critical for reducing violence in schools.

Enhanced security measures have become more common. Some enforce strict regulations on weapons in school buildings. Others permit carrying weapons under certain conditions, including off-campus activities.

Most in-person school policies restrict weapons on school grounds because of this.

Semantics

\ Obviously you know your knives and have a fondness for them.

That is a “tactical style” knife that would appear to be a serious badass fighting knife to a 19 year old wannabe gangbanger.

Obviously, in reality it's a cheap piece of WalMart Chinese trash but is functionally identical and visually almost indistinguishable to the untrained eye to the Emerson CQC-7 and the Benchmade Adamas knives that are very popular within the SOCOM community and those two knives and others like them have killed a good number of terrorists over the years- and they have also probably opened up a few letters as well.

None of this matters. Anthony never had a chance at a lighter sentence after his parents totally dissed Jeff Metcalf, who had stated publicly that he would forgive Carmelo. The Anthony’s held a press conference shortly after the crime. It was attended by Metcalf as a gesture of his desire for some kind of reconciliation. Instead of seizing the opportunity to ease community feelings against Carmelo, the feral animal of a mother called police to remove Metcalf from the room, without so much as speaking to him. The jury never forgot that obscene action. When sentencing time came, 35 years was a charitable number.

Except that in schools and at school events (track meets, for example), weapons are generally not permitted. The Second Amendment does not confer an absolute right to carry weapons anywhere. It means the government cannot pass laws removing the right of lawful citizens to own weapons. A private citizen can refuse to allow someone to enter his house with a firearm. Guns and other weapons can be restricted from sensitive areas - airports, courthouses, schools, etc. That restriction applies in this case
