It’s safe to say the WNBA is the most toxic and dysfunctional professional sports league in US history.
And the league is incapable of learning from its mistakes. As Joe Hoft reported earlier this year, Caitlin Clark was injurted in the 2026 pre-season opener for the Indianapolis Fever.
They had their golden goose, and they ran it over. To date, rather than provide officiating that was fair and protected Clark, the league allowed women in the league to pull, push, hit, poke, hammer, and totally abuse Clark. The beatings and abuse took their toll. No one could have put up with what Clark endured.
Watching Clark’s games in the WNBA was not any fun. Fans found themselves yelling at the refs and the league throughout her games. Clark was hammered by jealous players and no fouls were called. When Caitlin Clark complained, she received a technical foul. The WNBA is a sick joke.
The WNBA went on to physically break Caitlin Clark. It appeared that they wanted to destroy their golden goose, Caitlin Clark, and they did.
But no matter what they did, they couldn’t stop her. Here is Clark scoring 9 points in less than a minute in a game last year.

Clark, the greatest scorer and point producer when adding in points off of assists, was the best women’s basketball player in NCAA history. She crushed NCAA scoring records, and she brought a fan base bigger than any women’s basketball player in US history with her to the WNBA two years ago. Clark went on to break the WNBA’s single-season assist record and was one shy of tying the season 3-point record.
Unfortunately, the WNBA has been horrible to her since her arrival, constantly trying to downplay her greatness and compare girls without her talent or records to her.
In this series in a game last year, Clark was poked in the eye by the opposing player after grabbing and pulling Clark all game long. Then the opposing player assaulted her and pushed her. Clark tried to get away but another opponent punched Clark in the back and then another player crashed Clark to the floor. None of Clark’s teammates stood up for her when this happened.
You get the picture.
Now, as the 2026 season is ready to take off – It appears Caitlin Clark is not.
Clark is injured again.
And now the league must figure out a way to fill the seats at the games after they destroyed their Golden Goose.
The future looks bleak for the WNBA.
Things are so bad the Indiana Fever is luring fans to games with free chips!
This will not end well.

You could actually just listen to Chick Hearn and watch the game unfold in your mind. No TV necessary.
It is women’s basketball. Nobody cares. Nobody cares about women’s basketball except for parents of girls playing on their high school or college team.
It’s kind of like this with women in history and politics.
You get your occasional superstar like Catherine the Great but 99.999% shouldn’t even be allowed to vote.
It’s more than just white/black. It is a toxic group of ego’s.
Whether a woman’s ego is toxic depends on the individual and whether that ego is balanced with self-awareness or, instead, becomes inflated and defensive. While a healthy ego provides confidence, independence, and self-respect, an unchecked or “inflated” ego—regardless of gender—can become toxic in relationships and work, leading to competitiveness, lack of accountability, and manipulation.
Clark came in as a star and a way of producing interest, thus money for the league, the other “established stars” never could produce.
And money is a big part of it. Clark got a significant increase from previous years. This 2026 surge follows a 2025 season where average cash compensation was approximately $120,000 to $147,000, with minimum salaries starting around $66,079 with her new contract at just under $600K. And that doesn’t include her advertising money that starts with her 8-year, $28 million deal with Nike. This is why they call it “catty” or some would call “bitchy.” And it’s this petty ego trip that is going to destroy the league just like the other women’s leagues have failed.

They are being judged right now. This is the content of their character with violence that was started in the NBA years ago to sell the league. Only I find it funny to mix elbows and punches with mascara and hair pieces. Are they saying these aren’t ladies but thugs? Proof in the pudding.

I watch Caitlin Clark play basketball and Nelly Korda play golf. That’s it for me when it comes to women’s sports. They both good.
When I was at motor vehicle with my daughter, a young black man with corn rows and a demeanor found in the ‘hood was wearing a Lakers jersey. What raised my eyebrow was that it was for the very white Luca Doncic #66.Black men’s NBA fans can recognize and appreciate talent regardless of race.
