Now that we can look at QAnon from a distance what did it turn out to be? I thought some of it's posts were legit just because I believed underhanded stunts were commonplace by the dims and the media. Especially after the lawfare against Trump and the pseudo press coverage of biden.
Now it seems like QAnon was just trying to sow chaos among us conservatives. It's referred to like a joke or some manner of failed attempt to do whatever.

There is no QAnon. There is on Q.
Questions anonymous. Ask a question, and people will come up with all kinds of theories or conspiracies as answers. Took over by political discourse, mainly right wing.
QAnon is a wide-ranging, unfounded conspiracy theory alleging that a satanic, cannibalistic pedophile cabal is running a global child-trafficking ring and plotting against Donald Trump. Originating on 4chan in 2017, it claims Trump is fighting this “deep state” to bring about “The Storm,” a day of mass arrests and executions.

Ask and ye shall receive.
And Martha Mitchell was right about Nixon and Watergate.
I liked Q and I loved the Q list. Good people. The thing I liked about Q was the emphasis on thinking for yourself and attempting to understand what was happening. I never felt the need to believe everything but I was encouraged to question everything. Many people believed things I didn’t. So what? Many people on the general FR lists believe things I don’t. Who cares? The important thing is to question and think. I truly couldn’t care less if Q was real or imaginary.
I remember commenting that I thought the whole Q thing was nonsense content-wise and suspicious in motive, and one sweet little person here proceeded to lecture me on how brilliant QAnon was, to be teaching us through Socratic method the *real truth* about everything.
She seemed enthralled and as if she thought nobody had ever understood Socratic discourse before Q came along and explained it all.
“ I truly couldn’t care less if Q was real or imaginary.”
Well. You’re really gonna like The Bible.
You can it on Amazon “I Believe” 😉
The following thread (originally from x, assembled by threadreaderapp for easier reading) offers an explanation of Q.

It was probably an intel agency psyop. Pacification program that told people to just sit back and trust the plan. And it worked.
Interestingly enough, looking at the posts now they look suspiciously like AI, even though it was years before AI really went public.
All that and don’t forget Q told us God, Family Country.
I was just coming here to say that same thing. God these people are dumb
Ask Google? Really?
The CCP owns Alphabet. Alphabet owns Google.
Yeah, great source of data, there.
As to sowing discord, jut look at how the exslavers, the Democrats, got the FBI to help feed the SPLC info/$$ to fund the hate groups tied to conservatives on the word of the Democrats. Gimme a break. This is SOP for liberals. Always has been.
You do know that there is a Q safe space on this site, right?
Secret messages uttered by the unseen ‘Q’ are captured from the aether, then dissected by adepts who translate the oracular bits of wisdom into something useful to the laity.
It’s kind of a blend of Nostradamus, Magic 8 Ball, gnosticism, and carny barker.

My experience was superficial. I would occasionally see a Q (or Qanon) post on FreeRepublic and read the responses. The environment was patriotic, Christian and Friendly. There was nothing to object to, but nothing of much substance.
There was assurance that everything would work out. Nice to hear. It did not affect my actions one way or another.
It seemed as controversial as Mom, the flag, and apple pie.
