The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office announced on Saturday that it is launching an investigation into California Rep. Eric Swalwell, over an alleged sexual assault involving a former staffer in 2024, according to a new report.
Swalwell’s former staffer — who has not been identified — told CNN that after a night of drinking with her former boss in April 2024, she was heavily intoxicated and woke up to him having sex with her in his hotel bed.
“I was pushing him off of me, saying no,” the woman told the outlet. “He didn’t stop.”
The staffer — who is one of four women to recently come out with allegations of sexual misconduct by Swalwell — said the incident occurred after she stopped working in his office.
“We urge survivors and anyone with knowledge of these allegations to contact our Special Victims Division at 212-335-9373,” the DA’s office said in a statement to the outlet.
“Our specially trained prosecutors, investigators and counselors are well-equipped to help you in a trauma-informed, survivor-centered manner.”

EVERYTHING Dems do is strategic, they see Swalwell as dead weight, there is also video of him online in a hotel room with a prostitute with other men in the room while he’s on a bed kissing her..they want him gone so they think Katie Porter has a better chance, honestly shes WORSE, its like changing the old regime in Iran to this one, its still the same roaches..and she, she is certifiably INSANE, threw hot potatoes on her husband, screams at staff, she is NUTS

Not for some people. I knew a girl who had no memory of doing certain things while under the influence of alcohol. Just 2 drinks and she’d engage in risky behavior, and have absolutely no memory of it the next day.
They are assuming that if they throw Swallwell under the bus, his voters will pick another dem candidate --- Porter or Steyer.
But what if they pick any one of the other dem candidates, all of whom poll in single digits? Even worse, what if they pick Hilton or Bianco? What if they just stay home? The dems still lose the jungle primary, and there is no (D) candidate in the general election.
I guess what I am saying (and hoping) is that dropping Swallwell won't be enough to "fix" the election.
