Paramout+’s struggling new Star Trek series, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, has been unable to crack the top ten shows in the Nielsen Ratings as the eight-figure per episode series wallows in a constant stream of left-wing, identity politics like gay Klingons, bisexuals, lesbians, and girl boss characters irks fans the world over.
The most recent plot rankling longtime fans of the franchise is the full-fledged gay Klingon character named “Ja-Den.”
Ja-Den, portrayed by gay actor Karim Diane, breaks the Star Trek mold for the 60-year-old franchise’s war-like, aggressive Klingon alien race. Instead of being a warrior, Ja-Den is a vegan and a bird watcher who had two dads. And when he gets to the academy, he immediately begins dating a young human male he meets there. But, wait, there’s more. Ja-Den also has secret feelings for one of the other male students in the series

The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine were far better.
...and condition them that they should go into debt for college to collect a useless degree. Gotta get those college enrollments back up. Find some suckers to take the bad deal.
While there, they can play something like Quidditch but with even less exertion.
Have no idea nor want to know what's in these writer's minds. I will not waste valuable lifetime on aggressive perversion propaganda.
Been watching "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" lately. Other than one annoying dyke "helms-person" it's written well - so far (on episode 4 of Season 2 at the moment). It figures that the best of the recent series is the least publicized...probably because it's more story than agenda driven.
LOL!!!
1950's TV was five-figure per episode but was actually worth watching.
They do this gleefully.
They loath the fans and want to humiliate them. Ratings don't matter.
Eventually fans are going to start churning out their own AI Star Trek films and the studios are going to pretend like they didn't see this coming.
“The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine were far better.”
Things no one ever said for $100 Alex.
I didn't really know who Patrick Stewart was at the time. I though he was a throw-away character. I kept waiting for the old bald guy to be killed off so the young, virile First Officer (Jonathon Frakes) take command. Who knew?
"Babylon 5: Our last, best hope for decent Science Fiction on TV." That and Stargate: SG1.
IMO, Farscape was a better show than either one of those.
1) “Everybody knows” that Season 3 wasn’t as good as Seasons 1 & 2. Bet we all thank God for Season 3 ... it’s what put Star Trek into syndication. Star Trek in syndication paved the way for EVERY Science Fiction show that followed (for good or ill). Kids today should be careful what they sneer at.
2) The Space Hippies were hilarious ... and a very pointed satire of real hippies, who were an all too present and obnoxious part of American society at the time.
3) Cracked dot com is a bunch of childish morons.
I take it you’ve never watched or listened to William Shatner doing “Rocketman”.
Ugh.
The real crime, IMO, was FOX's gross mishandling of Firefly.
Stargate Atlantis is pretty good too.
‘Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’ Is a Ratings Disaster Amid ‘First Ever Gay Klingon’ in a Dress, Teases Queer Love Triangle Plot
It’s low hanging fruit...
I see that Atlantis is on Amazon Prime streaming ... I may binge it. I never saw the whole thing before.
I’m surprised no-one has made a a joke about Klingons and a planet I’ll refer to here as Caelus.
I’ve watched Star Trek since 1973. This series I will NOT watch. New Star Trek no longer represents the future of mankind (personkind?/s). It represents woke cosplay for perverts.

Maybe that was just a Scottish thing back then.
