'Someone is going to recognize' masked person at Nancy Guthrie's house

Investigators have released a surveillance photo showing a potential suspect in the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping investigation on Tuesday, marking a major update in the unusual case.

The image was circulated less than a day after a ransom deadline to pay Guthrie’s abductors $6 million in bitcoin passed with no sign of the 84-year-old.

The FBI said Monday that it had not identified any suspects in the bizarre kidnapping case, which began ten days ago when Guthrie’s family reported her missing after she did not show up for church and wasn’t at her Tucson home. There has been no evidence Guthrie is taking the medication she needs or proof from kidnappers that she’s still alive.

There has been no indication any ransom was paid and the FBI also said it is not aware of any communication between the abductors and the Guthrie family.

The image of a masked individual appears to have been recovered off a Nest camera located outside Guthrie’s home. Law enforcement has been working for days to recover any images or video footage that may have been “lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors–including the removal of recording devices,” said FBI Director Kash Patel.

Patel said in a post on X that the video was recovered from “residual data located in backend systems.”

The images show an individual wearing a full face mask, dark gloves and a backpack appearing to tamper with the camera at Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance. Patel said the person was armed.

The surveillance photos marks the first major development released to the public in the case that has baffled law enforcement experts for more than a week.

Pleas from the family for Guthrie’s return have become increasingly urgent as time has passed.

I sure hope they get him soon. I am tired of the 24/7 coverage this gets. Hundreds of people go missing every day. They never talk about any of them.

The FBI, eh? Does this guy have “bushy eyebrows”? Drives a white Hyundai Elantra? Carries a knife sheath he conveniently leaves at the crime scene?

Could it end up like the taking out of Maduro and Iran’s nuclear site? Fast and efficient. A warning to those that would harm us.

Minnesota lefties won’t be convinced.

There’s been activity now in the bitcoin account from the first ransom note, but it was like 300$, so maybe it was a trap. They put money in it to try to see if it would be opened…..and if so, trace the origin of the person who opened it.

I agree. My lovely wife has followed the 24/7 and she said it is an inside job by SIL and D.

So Ring or other vendor is really recording your data even if you don’t subscribe and tell you they don’t. Originally they said they did not have it and the cameras only worked live. Well here we are now….surveillance state.

All the FBI needs to do is call China. Every gadget in the house attached to WiFi sends data back to China. I bet somewhere there is much data recorded. Don’t believe for a moment that phone-home tech from China is not embed in your TV and any other device.

Yeah I’d be looking the family or neighbors over for dope addicts or degenerate gamblers.

I think it’s more than one person. The one that kidnapped her is not the one that demanded the bitcoin payment. The kidnapper was kind of a klutz.
