“Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a 29-year-old Afghan national, has been charged with murder and other charges for the attack. He pleaded not guilty.”

Reports are that Wolfe is partially paralyzed and cannot speak. It is unlikely he can ever recover from his injuries.
His attacker, and the murderer of Sahra Beckstrom, still lives. Lakanwal should have been killed as an enemy combatant at the time of the attack.
The "criminal justice system" does not provide a solution to this kind of incident.
The Washington Compost fails to realize that the troops are getting paid no matter if they are on base training or off-base deployed. The bogus $100M is presented as if it was above and beyond the normal operating budget. The most prolific liars in human society are members of the press, politicians and actors!
And the Democrats were responsible for those costs, for their policies freed criminals repeatedly back into society for them to continue commiting crimes against the citizens.

I’m more interested in how many billions of taxpayer dollars have been wasted providing welfare and healthcare to people who have no legal business being in this country, and that includes those who came 10, 20, 30+ years ago, and never bothered to begin the process of naturalization.

The article states they are active duty. What more does it cost? MREs. Heck, when I did disaster relief in the Coast Guard we still slept in crummy government sleeping bags and didn’t even get tents. Urinalists never bother getting facts in urinalism.
