Suffering from Cabin fever?

Let’s dig out some recipe books and make something

If you made something bad, give it to the dogs in the back yard! Think of all the exercise you’ll get trying to convince your dog into coming back home!

It’s good exercise, too!

It Really IS!

Don’t have a recipe but there a German fruitcake rolled in powdered sugar called a “Stollen” that is really good.

How about Spam, pineapple, and coconut fried rice? That’s a popular Christmas dish on Guam. I think the name gives you recipe.

In a nod to my grandmother, who was full blooded German descent. I make sauerkraut with dumplings every New Years - to go with the traditional pork.

It’s just your favorite sauerkraut with a teaspoon of sugar then mix up a batch of dumplings and add. Cook covered for 15-20 minutes. The tanginess of the kraut with each bite of dumpling just goes well together.

Also it’s hard to find a real Chicago Danish Ring coffee cake around here.

Lots of weird recipies on that site,
but I thought this one was kind of cute.
Might entice the kids to eat meatloaf.
Ugh! Wouldn't work for me, though! LOL!

I think canned cranberry sauce is in itself a weird holiday food, but I love it! It isn’t a holiday dinner without it.

How about a mudbog?

Half cheap beer - must be CHEAP beer with not much if any hop taste.

Half chocolate milk.

The poor man’s White Russian, and I do mean POOR.

I am not sure why we have Hummingbird Cake for Christmas. It is apparently a summer dish everywhere else. But we do.
