Disney World has been furiously slammed online after it announced a shocking 150 percent price increase for a popular service.
Almost everyone who goes to the beloved theme park ends up buying something, whether it's a stuffed animal for your child, one of the iconic popcorn buckets, some new ears or a cute sweatshirt.
Between the dazzling clothes and gleaming toys, it's easy to spend hundreds of dollars on merchandise alone.
And now, those purchases have just become much more expensive for some.
Instead of lugging all your new Disney stuff through the airport or trying to fit them in your already-full luggage, guests have the option of sending products bought in the parks home for a fee.
The cost depends on the value of the items, and for years, that fee was capped at $40.
However, the service just got much more expensive, and fans are not happy about it.
It was revealed this week that Disney has increased shipping rates, and the maximum has now jumped from $40 to a whopping $99.99 - a 150 percent increase.

Disney was overrated and overpriced 40 years ago.
Yup!
In 1989 the prices were stupid high, so what are the odds I’ll go again?
Yep. The place is intentionally designed to take all of your money before you can escape. Happiest place on earth my ass. It’s a place to stay the hell away from.
Went to DW once ... found the entire experience repugnant ..
The Mouse is evil.
IGER is trying to make Park Guests pay for Disney’s Movie Flops.
Joke’s on you. Never been there, never will.
Doesn’t bother me. It was overpriced the last time I went there. It will be like a huge deserted shopping mall.
Same thing happening to Vegas. They are pricing tourists right out of visiting.
After shaking hands with The Mouse, be sure to count your fingers!
Went to Disneyland in Anaheim in 1987. With a AAA discount it was twenty something dollars for the day for an adult. IIRC the low twenties. Was there the whole day and covered the entire park and stayed til closing. At the time I didn’t feel ripped off and did enjoy it. Since then I’ve been to the one in Europe in 1996 and also had a good time but it was more expensive. Something like 40 dollars IIRC. Haven’t been since and don’t expect to ever go again.
Doesn’t seem like that big a deal. A it’s not “quiet” like the headline says, they announced it, and B shipping can be pretty expensive upping the MAX (which you might not spend to) isn’t a big deal. Really I’m not sure why they max it, they should just run like the UPS store, it costs what it costs. I know folks who would see that max as a challenge, let’s stack up what would cost $200 at the UPS store but only pay $100 cause Disney has a max charge.
It’s hard to believe anyone would wanna go. Real basic bitch stuff.
I worked with a guy who was infatuated with Disney World and spent all of his vacations there using his Aunt’s “privileges”, whatever those are. I just don’t get the obsession with Disney stuff but he gave off pedo vibes so that probably answers that mystery.
I went once when my kids were five. Never again. I did my penance.
Hate to say it, but shipping is getting very expensive everywhere. I don’t know how Mike Lendell and other on-line merchandizers do their free shipping.
Big time.
Good luck with that.
