In a surprising departure from usual partisan rhetoric, prominent Republican figures, including Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and political commentator Tucker Carlson, have extended rare praise to New York City Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, acknowledging his grassroots-focused campaign strategy, even as they continue to oppose his political ideology.
Greene, who had earlier shared a doctored image of the Statue of Liberty in a burqa in response to Mamdani’s rise, has since revised her stance. Speaking on Steve Bannon’s podcast, she said, “He really ran a campaign where he talked directly to the people… Even though his solutions are insane and socialist, he focused on their problems.”
She also took a swipe at Cuomo, labelling him a “dirty establishment Democrat” and praised Mamdani for offering “unique and smart” outreach.
Mamdani’s campaign, which includes proposals such as free buses and rent freezes, continues to draw criticism from conservatives. Still, the recognition of his campaign tactics from unlikely quarters underscores a rare moment of bipartisan acknowledgment in an otherwise divided political landscape.

And yes. A miracle. I mod remember to pray regularly about this. And offer
It’s time to say good bye to MTG and Tucker and give them both Massie Awards for lifetime achievement as useful idiots for the left.
This “let’em win and voters will come crawling back to us” line is our version of the left’s “communism will work this time became we will do it right.” Both are hog wash.
Yes, the atheist socialist Jews who despise everything Zionist, or Israel.
Don’t give up. When they are right, they are right. When they are wrong, they are wrong. They are never worse than Schumer and Maddow, and usually far better. Let’s not allow some people to sow division.
There is an old phrase, “People get the government they deserve.” And there is a Bible verse to back it up.
Daniel 4:17
“In order that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, [He] gives it to whomever He will,
and sets over it the lowest of men.”
Hmmmmmm.....
Fhayek was addressing the kind of actions that Mamdani has, or will, propose: price controls, government ownership, excessive regulation, government edicts, excessive taxes, etc. As fhayek points out, these direct actions have been counterproductive since the time of the Roman emperors, and before.
Reagan made our lives better by dismantling the direct government actions listed above. Reagan’s policies could be described as “let’s stop being stupid.” It works wonders.
There is nothing new under the sun. Those who understand economic theory and economic history will recognize it when Mamdani enacts the same old tried and failed policies of the past.
It should be recognized that some policies appear to work initially but then fail. Forcing prices down (price controls) may look good at first. But wait for it, bare shelves. Great price, if you could buy it. One can force up wages. Wait for it, revised hiring plans. First no new hires. Then layoffs. Great job, if you get to keep it. Are they building new rent-controlled apartments that are as nice at the old ones were?
Fhayek was not born yesterday. Many voters, politicians, and bloggers appear to have been born yesterday.
They have the same boss.
good thought, can’t keep her eye on the ball. There should be a GOP showboaters caucus
