The controversial president-elect of the Oxford Union — the world’s most prestigious debate club — once endorsed the claim that Queen Elizabeth perpetuated “genocide” and said he “hates” the famed organization he now leads, texts obtained by The Post reveal.
George Abaraonye, an Oxford University student who became infamous after he celebrated the assassination of Charlie Kirk just months after the two debated, claimed in leaked WhatsApp text messages that he only sought the presidency of the vaunted Oxford Union because of “hate.”
“If u hate it then you should run for the presidency!!!!” one Oxford student wrote in a group WhatsApp chat with members of the debating society, which was founded in 1823. “Real lol that’s what I did,” answered Abaraonye, 20, who was elected in June. In another message from the chat which included from Oxford, Trinity College, and Keble College, Abaraonye endorsed the idea that Queen Elizabeth was a perpetrator of “genocide and famine.”

According to the Telegraph, Mr Abaraonye posted a message on Instagram which read “Charlie Kirk got shot loool” - an elongated version of the phrase ‘lol’ which means ‘laughing out loud’.

One might have thought that Oxford, of any western university, would have maintained their standards.
Oh well, how the mighty have fallen. The next thing I’ll read is that even Oxford has somewhat turned its back on Shakespeare. No, wait.....

Good grief. I knew England was really in trouble but the insanity has invaded the Oxford Union. It, like the Nobel, used to be very prestigious.
I asked grok: Do you think the president elect of the Oxford Union will be voted out? It gave a pretty good answer. They only need a simple majority but it must be in person. People are coming in from around the world, at least one from as far away as Hong Kong. I think they know their reputation is on the line.

From what I see/read-and what I hear from my Brit neighbor-the Oxford crowd has lived in their own snobbish, liberal world for a long, long time-they think they are above all other humans...
I have heard the Oxford crowd is somewhat like that but I expected that members of some of their societies, especially a debating society, could at least lie about their bias and racism.
