The children of US Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) relentlessly tormented their mom’s personal assistant, driving him to commit suicide, an explosive lawsuit claims.
Brandon O’Brien, 35, worked for the senator’s wife, Nancy Bass Wyden — owner of Manhattan’s famed Strand Bookstore — from June 2022 to September 2024 and was “frequently tasked” with caring for the couple’s young kids, including driving them to school in NYC and watching them during trips to Disneyworld.
The disturbing behavior began in September 2022 when the couple’s then-10-year-old daughter allegedly exposed herself to O’Brien, making “sexually explicit” comments and asking about his “intimate life” during school drop-offs, O’Brien’s husband, Thomas Maltezos, alleged in court papers he filed against Bass Wyden and her company, Bass Real Estate LLC.
But the mom — whose family founded the East Village bookshop nearly a century ago — allegedly did nothing about the behavior, Maltezos contended.
Meanwhile, the Wydens’ teenage son berated O’Brien with homophobic slurs such as “f—-t” and “zest kitten,” and the boy said “his football team ‘would rape him,”‘ the suit claimed.

Ron lives in New Yuck too. He only comes to Oregon for a well choreographed townhall or interview where he says absolutely nothing. I had to deal with him. He is not the slimiest democrat but he’s up there.

Serious problems indeed. Most likely anything from alcoholism, drug abuse, physical/sexual abuse, incest , profound character disorders and mental illness.

There’s been at least one case of vegan parents feeding an infant nothing but apple juice, with predictable (to anyone with any brains) results.
Does he always show up in a brand new red and black flannel shirt? (Not buying that you’re a lumberjack, Ron, except maybe in the Monty Python sense. )
There was a local conservative radio host that covered Wyden town hall meetings. He said he felt dirty, afterward.

Nah. Wyden is not a flashy dresser. Pretty much just some slacks and a tucked in wrinkled checkered shirt. And to his credit, I was flying back from Denver and he was on the same flight to Portland in cattle car class with we little people. He is personable enough when not talking politics. But once he goes in to senator mode is when the slime oozes out. He never answers a question. I don’t think I ever heard him say “yes” or “no.” Every question was answered with a long winder word salad that ALWAYS blamed some straw man for failures and how his democrat liberal progressive idea was the only way to save whatever it was he was asked about. He is smart enough to leave the cameras to the idiots like Hirono or Hank Johnson while he slithers around pulling strings through his membership on the Intel and tax committee. He is another lifelong politician who contributes absolutely nothing to society.

“Zest kitten” does not appear.
Several phrases involving the word “zest” do appear, and some appear associated with the idea of flagrantly, stereotypically homosexual behavior and comportment.
