A Fox News presenter suggested during a live segment that people struggling with homelessness and mental health issues should be executed.
Brian Kilmeade made the comments on the network's flagship talk show Fox and Friends on Wednesday alongside co-hosts Lawrence Jones and Ainsley Earhardt.
The trio had been discussing the murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska who was killed while on a bus when Kilmeade made the now heavily criticized remark.
Jones suggested that people not taking up programs to help those battling mental health and homelessness should be locked up, when Kilmeade went nuclear.
'Or involuntary lethal or something, just kill them', he said - with the comment passing by his cohosts who looked completely unfazed by the remark.
Earhardt added: 'Yeah, Brian, why did it have to get to this point?', failing to comment on his suggestion.
Kilmeade then proceeded to say that cities with large homeless populations were voting for the wrong leaders, urging those in North Carolina to 'wake up'.
Zarutska was murdered in Charlotte, North Carolina, on August 22 after being stabbed in the neck, suspect Decarlos Brown is accused of killing her.

Brian Kilmeade has no business logic just think of all the money that can be made by selling them for body parts.
If he’s going crude go all the way.
I will argue that introduction of body parts containing evil progressive genetic material is harmful to the receiver and thus the nation.
He did say just kill them. I watched it myself in real time.

We did this to ourselves, why didn’t anyone cry out loud when we shut down all of our Mental Hospitals? Oregon had one in Salem and it was shut down, where did we expect all of the patients to go? Doesn’t sound very Liberal to me no?
If he really said the homeless and mentally ill should be killed, Fox should fire him.

I’ve always liked Kilmeade, but this was out of line. He appears to have apologized now, so maybe that’s the end of it.
It shouldn’t come to that. In that profession you must always choose your words carefully. Like Rush said, “Words mean things”.

I will give Kilmeade the benefit of the doubt that he is speaking of killers like this and not just crazy people, but I can’t agree that it’s “pretty clear.”
