A Fox News presenter suggested during a live segment that people struggling with homelessness and mental health issues should be executed.
Brian Kilmeade made the comments on the network's flagship talk show Fox and Friends on Wednesday alongside co-hosts Lawrence Jones and Ainsley Earhardt.
The trio had been discussing the murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska who was killed while on a bus when Kilmeade made the now heavily criticized remark.
Jones suggested that people not taking up programs to help those battling mental health and homelessness should be locked up, when Kilmeade went nuclear.
'Or involuntary lethal or something, just kill them', he said - with the comment passing by his cohosts who looked completely unfazed by the remark.
Earhardt added: 'Yeah, Brian, why did it have to get to this point?', failing to comment on his suggestion.
Kilmeade then proceeded to say that cities with large homeless populations were voting for the wrong leaders, urging those in North Carolina to 'wake up'.
Zarutska was murdered in Charlotte, North Carolina, on August 22 after being stabbed in the neck, suspect Decarlos Brown is accused of killing her.

The country is 37 trillion dollars in debt but that is not the solution by a longshot.
I’m with Brian on this one. They are a waste of air. They put rabid dogs down. Why not rabid trannies? The trannie bastards are running up one heck of a body count.
These people have to be locked up or get the death penalty.
People need to shoot to kill someone physically attacking them or someone else. It is self-defense.
Instead, we coddle the insane and give them more leeway.
Not “kill” them. “Abort” them.
It is socially acceptable to abort disabled people these days.
No way.
Humanity already went down this road before.
We, as people, cannot afford to start something we know we cannot stop before millions die.
Who do you want to decide is “”mentally ill” enough to require a lethal solution?”

This is the last thing we need right now.
Did he really say this, and where?
The only exception would be perdinavititis. /Chesterton, The Ball and the Cross>
What were the exact words he used?
Send them to Martha’s Vineyard
This is “right up there” for a political unforced error by a prominent Republican.
Hope Fox fixes it.
IF he said it, it’s appalling. But it’s hard to know if anything online is true anymore.
I agree big time.
He didn’t really say that..did he?
>> Instead, we coddle the insane
... and send them to the streets with easy access to all sorts of drugs. What could go wrong??!?
Brian’s ill thought out and insensitive comments are up there with those who cheered Charlie Kirk’s death. People have loved ones who suffer from a mental illness. Shame on you Brian—I thought you were better than that.
>> If he really did say this, he’s going to be fired.
For what? It may not be the best solution, or the most righteous solution, but it’s a defensible solution (in the context of exploring the solution space).
