The incident happened on August 15 in Bay County, Florida. Police in Port St. Joe responded to a call from a repo driver at at 3:42 p.m. who said 41-year-old Tikila Walker had fled while trying to repossess her white Ford Fusion for failure to make payments.
Police located Walker, but she fled, getting involved in a hit-and-run at 4:19 p.m. The other driver didn't press charges against Walker, but the repo driver caught up and police had to deescalate an argument between the two while Walker remained in her car.
Walker drove away to escape the repo man, but at 5:52 p.m., she was involved in another hit-and-run at a convenience store after the repo man had tried to box her in.
At 6:01 p.m., police located her again. She refused to get out of the vehicle after police tried to deescalate the situation. She then charged at them with a knife.

The picture of Walker charging is just one of several that have gone viral in the last few years since the BLM movement pushed for police bodycams to prove/protect against systemic racism.
Instead of showing police error or bigotry, however, they mostly show violent criminals with possessed looks on their faces that get shot for trying to kill cops.

Walker was found in the driver's seat, armed with a 16-inch filet-style knife with a silver blade, refusing to drop the weapon.
According to authorities, attempts to de-escalate the situation were made for several minutes.
A Gulf County Sheriff's Deputy and Officer Allan Edwards then arrived on scene to help, with a deputy then breaking a car window to deploy a taser, officials say. The taser was deployed seven times with no effect, and Walker swung the knife toward the deputy.
This is one of the stats that anti-police activists often don't share. The reality is that tasers and other less-than-lethal measures often fail to stop bad guys.
As an aside, when it comes to lethal measures, I'm glad to see police departments adopting closed emitters on their reflex sights. 💪
Back to the story:
Walker then charged Sgt. Morrison with the knife after exiting the vehicle, officials say. According to the PSJPD, Sgt. Morrison discharged his firearm twice, and Officer Lee discharged once.
Police say Walker was shot once in her upper arm and once in the pelvic area.
Police immediately rendered life-saving aid to Walker until EMS arrived. She has since been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence. The department's investigation into the shooting is still underway.
'She came at me with a knife, what the hell did you expect me to do?' Sgt. Morrison can be heard saying to bystanders.
The woman is, obviously, mentally ill but the Police can hardly take that into consideration when she charges at them, knife in hand!

That’s what always drives me crazy when the predictable Leftist/media outcry erupts over a mentally-ill individual (especially when they’re black) being shot by the police. When you’re being attacked, the mental state or specific motivation of your attacker is irrelevant. All that matters is stopping the attack.
When animals attack, what matters is protecting the innocent from them, whatever it takes. But Leftists only care about trying to “understand” the criminal attacker, and never care one bit about the innocents they attack.
I’d say that woman was very lucky, normally they would unload a full mag before you hit the ground.
All that fat helped keep her alive.
