Why is every article now being repeated over and over?

Used to be moderators would "lock" threads that were repeats. "Search still works". Now NOTHING except repeat after repeat'

It is making FR unreadable.

I may be wrong but I always believed it was posters who pointed out repeat articles to the moderators who then locked them. I suspect some of the old guard are no longer around to do this.

Even so, I don't see how repeated articles makes FR unreadable. I scroll post lots of articles I have no interest in. I don't see it as a big deal.

But I’ve seen threads where the Caucus designation seemed strategically left off precisely to invite a fuss.

Thank you. I make it a point to never start threads attacking or even questioning the faith of others, and avoid including polemics in those threads. I think it's counterproductive and off-putting to non-believers no matter who does it, especially among Christians.

But I’ve seen threads where the Caucus designation seemed strategically left off precisely to invite a fuss.

I've seen that too (and of course non-Catholics also do it with great regularity), and I don't approve of it and try not to get sucked into it unless there is some especially outrageous anti-Catholic claim posted that has to be answered.

The other day I was scrolling through comments and clicked on "Next Page". What I got was a 21 year time skip as all comments were from 2004.

If the same content is published by two different news sources, both may remain up on the Forum. It’s only when a post is reposted from the same original source, and it really helps if the first person who notices it hits the abuse button and lets the mods know: “duplicate post.”

Frankly, I’ve not seen all of these “repeated” threads. However, I’ve often opened a thread only to find it locked because “search still works”, and then I click on the original, no problem.
